I have tried several brands of nicotine and couldn't see any difference in taste between them except for one - an extra clean nicotine from vaper's tek. I understand they have since changed sources; not sure if the new source is equally clean tasting.
No perception of attack or criticism on this side. We were both stating facts. Everyone knows for example that Danny likes strong flavors. I remember once vaping a sample of his ADV and choking on the first puff. I had to ask if they were concentrates :)
Surprise !! Taste buds are different .... Here is a chart of recommended starting percentages. For FA, tobaccos are way at the bottom. The grey column is manufacturer's recommendations. Yellow is average of different users.
It covers most manufacturers except HS. Choose manufacturer from the...
Are you guys referring to Perique by Flavor Art? That one has no resemblance to the NET variety. A closer match is 7Leaves Ultimate - a fruity taste somewhat similar to the NET variety. I use just 2% , and get plenty of flavor. It's quite good.
P.S. I can not imagine using Perique Black at 5%...
I have alway been happy with them. BTW, if you like the taste of Marlboros, they recommend a mixture of 80% Canadian and 20% American Flue cured Virginia.
I would skim off the top and leave the particulates behind. It's the best way I know how to filter a liquid - even though you lose a bit of liquid that way.
BTW straining 4 times with the same size filter is unlikely to yield results. Whatever escaped the first filter will also escape the...
I'll have to look it up, but there is a post somewhere in this thread that answered that question with numbers. It turns out there is a substantial difference between water and alcohol in terms of sugar solubility. It remains to be seen whether 70/30 would make a large difference; only an...
The whistling problem is also partially caused by condensation inside the air hole. I notice the whistling often goes away once I have dried out the air hole.
My fill screw does not come with an o ring and tephlon has not helped. I think the condensation goes through the air hole and eventually comes out. A loose wick will make the problem worse. Drops of liquid will leak directly into the air hole.
Nothing wrong with water except it dissolves sugars in the tobacco more than alcohol does - might be a good thing if you vape on the sweeter side, but your coils will gunk up that much faster.
I have also tried ISO and found the flavor not as robust as Everclear. Perhaps a combination of the two might work better. You will get the benefit of Everclear with the lower cost of ISO - a possible solution for those like myself who only have access to 151 proof Everclear. I plan to mix of...
When it comes to peach flavor, Flavor Art's white peach takes the prize. Just 2% will send you to heaven. The problem is to find a tobacco that goes with it.
Virginia Flue Cured seems to be the most popular tobacco leaf for extraction. There is also Canadian Flue Cured for a milder flavor. I get mine from LeafOnly.com They ship to Canada, but I don't know a Canadian source.
I know what you mean with different tobaccos going with different fruits. I use 7Leaves ultimate exclusively; it has a fruity taste to begin with. Another candidate for fruity tobacco is to add plum flavor. White Peach from FA is excellent by itself but I haven't found any tobacco to go with it.
I also like blueberry tobacco, but I am looking for another fruit that can add some sweetness. Black berry might do the job. Any other ideas? I have used dragon fruit and raspberry with mixed results.
I recently extracted flavors from several varieties of tobacco leaves. The result is the closest you can come to a true tobacco taste. I use just 2% of the extraction in some of my mixes. The result is better than any tobacco absolute I have ever tried.
There are a ton of tobacco varieties you...
