It is a leaker when left on its side - if the air holes are pointing down. This is sort of a deal breaker for me. :( I already vape 10+mL of taxed juice. Worrying about blowing cash on setting stains isn't too appealing. Nor is having to be hypervigilant about how I have it positioned at... -

Those 2 notches are where you lay the coil & rod across the deck when seating & securing the coil. It allows the coil to be mounted a bit lower than if they weren't there. -

Any search I've done for silicone wire comes up showing copper wire encased in a sleeve of silicone (i.e. regular old wire). Any more pointers to find this stuff would be a help. Link perhaps (amazon, ebay, wherever)? Also, in your experience, what's the ideal gauge? -

Ugh, I can't wait to get mine. Been dying to add more coils forever & with the added bonus of a larger sopping wet wick! And experiment with larger coils without being limited by the 3mm limit. Maybe even actually get to try the screw method sometime. Definitely a lot of new options for sure. -

Yeah, IanD what is that stuff????? Looks like a paintbrush Rikk - I knew it had to be either the center pin or creosote on any threaded pin on it. Just weird how it wasn't a gradual thing. -

Does untwisting the center pin have any effect on resistance? Any nickel touching the "non-conducting" emetal or whatever its called? Also try cleaning off the + & - screw threads How many coils have you tried causing this same result? Pics? -

Yeah, the 2 selling points on it for me were that its the only DNA40 device (at least at the time I got mine & maybe still today) that allowed you to see the screen while using it. Adding a mirror to my vape gear isn't something I wanted to have to deal with. The second is the all day battery... -

DNA40 range for Ni200 is 0.1-0.4ohm As per Evolv's DNA40 datasheet -

I like how others have responded to this and I will add that though ohms & temp are certainly variables which contribute to the equation, I've had 0.09 ohm coils that would hover around 300 degrees at 20+ watts. I;ve also had 0.16 ohm coils engage TC immediately. This shows that any ohm coil... -

Anyone with a B-deck have any comment on leaking issues? How about with it laying down? Looks like you just need to make sure you don't fill it above that air intake channel. Tipping it in any direction shouldn't allow juice to escape down that center hole (& thus leaking out the air intake)... -

Yeah, the pin is firm and stays in place. No wobble & no tightening in when screwed in or out. Since I got them, all I've used is my DNA40 flask & the Squape R. If I screw the squape's center pin in flush or deeper, I get a higher resistance. If I unscrew it so it protrudes, I get a lower... -

Ugh, I'm hoping the new deck isn't a leaker. With all the cash I'm blowing on juice I don't want to be paying through the nose for stains too. I tried teflon on the center pin & I still can manually adjust the resistance by twisting it ever so slightly. Twisting the pin out (anti-clockwise)... -

And my final vent about the squape is, like others have mentioned, how much juice I annihilate in it! 10ml/day???!!!! All I vape is taxed juice and a 30ml btl being almost toast after a day is getting to cost as much as butts... maybe even more actually! Think its time to try & cut back or...
