    i just tried this.......the ni200 ccell's are rated at a base res of .2. my dna and if i recall correctly, yours does as well, reads it as .17 (or round about). i went into escribe and overrode the ohms to .20 and locked it in. now there is more headroom to play with, in terms of a temp setting.

    not on the dna200 version. however, on the rx200 version, you can manually adjust the TCR from the mod because there is no computer software to adjust it from.

    i remember this mod because of the strange fact it only does ss and nickel - or only ss and ti. (one of those two combos.) only two tc wires. the trend now is, "if it can't do 200 warts it's useless." looks like an ok mod tho. i feel there are better, more cost effective options available.

    HOHM tech think they're being cute by sanding off as many of the smd markings as they could. i dunno why they would do that. nobody is going to rip off the board. even with the sanded ic's i can still tell what there functions are! why bother to sand the switching mosfets or reverse batt ptn...

    just throwing this out there. the dna 200 will fire down to .002 before it says "shorted". hey, does anyone know a good comprehensive site for looking up SMD IC part numbers? i'm trying to find out what certain ic's are responsible for on the wrecker g2 board.

    the funny thing is the way you describe it, it actually could be possible to make a cup of coffee using the the dna200 through escribe, lol! you'd have to get pretty creative with an apparatus that can be run from the mods' 510 - heating the water then pumped to the coffee grounds!

    are you using the tc coils in tc mode, right? i know that in power mode with the crown ss coils the resistance will constantly change be cause ss increases in resistance when heated, so thats normal. when i used the kanger .5 heads they always read.56-.59 on any of my devices. who knows though...
