I'm not sure what the "LV" stands for but I'll tell you some of the differences between the DID and "others". The Did uses a threaded cap so when you receive it, make sure the air hole lines up with the wick hole. Many others use o-rings to supposedly "adjust" the hit. Why anyone would want to...- Pete54

I found some 0.7 ribbon Kanthal D Ribbon Flat Wire 0 7x0 1 mm 0 027x0 004 in 21 0 Ohm M 6 40 Ohm Ft | eBay It is in stock and actually I think this size might be even better. the 0.8 would need at least 4 wraps to stay above 0.8Ω. the 0.6 gives me 0.9Ω with a 3 wrap (which I prefer). the 0.7...- Pete54

What new APV are we all most excited about in 2013?
I'll ask Kato to remove my self portrait from the Square ;). While we're at it, what do you think the Mod of 2012 was? I'd have to say the Caravela. Well, it was the most sought after anyways! -

From what I can gather, the Kato Square is used with an IAtty. I have no use for an IAtty so ........... I'm out! Too bad because I'd love to see someone make something like this that fits Genesis style atty's. Having the battery and switch beside (rather than below) the atty makes so much... -

The Super-T ELA is a telescoping device so therein lies it's versatility. It telescopes in a novel way that makes it much quicker than the typical type that unscrews forever. Nice device but until they change that switch .......I'm out! Standing it on it's end is a balancing act! With Genny's... -

Didn't actually wrap it. I wrapped it around a #8 machine screw, cut the ends off and then measured the coil with a MM. I don't really want to go that low. At 0.85 on a fresh battery I figure I'm just below 20 watts and 5 amps. That's plenty for me.:vapor:- Pete54

Prior to getting the ribbon I was using 28awg. I wrapped a 4/3 and got 1.1Ω. I would bet that a 3/2 of 28awg would bring you to the "zone". I think a 2/1 of 28awg would be around 0.6ish. Hang on and I'll wrap one up quick and measure it. Fluctuated between 0.65 and 0.70Ω- Pete54

I do it to hold the lower nut tight in place. I don't really know if it helps or not but I sleep better knowing it's there. ;) I think it gives more surface heating area on the coil without adding extra wraps which raises the resistance. Since making my first sub 1.0Ω coil, I could never go...- Pete54

I haven't used the 0.8mm yet but I have used 0.6mm. I use a 4/3 coil and it ohms at 0.9Ω. I'd knock a coil off if I were you Jim. Try it at a lower resistance. Personally, I love the stuff!- Pete54

I use Silica inside all my SS wicks. Personally, I find it wicks better and heats up quicker because you can use less ss.- Pete54
