Nice calculator but it is missing one thing that, for me, is very important. You should be able to adjust the PG/VG % of your nic base.
Actually, it wouldn't even install on my computer. Oh well.
Just a different way of securing the wire to the positive post. There are other genny's that use a similar system. personally, I don't see any advantage to it. I prefer to have the wire held tightly by the nuts rather than by a washer held in place by pressure of a spring.
Tried it with my crappy mm that only shows voltage to two decimal places. Battery alone read 4.03. With Poldiac it read 4.03 and 4.02, fluctuating between both numbers so I assume about 4.025. This is with ss post. I didn't measure under load because, as Tony said, it's irrelevant due to the...
I've been wrapping a 5/4 with 28awg and I always end up with 1.1Ω. I'm hoping that with the ribbon's increased surface area that a 4/3 of the 0.24 will provide more contact with the wick and still give me about a 1.0Ω coil. We'll see.
Thinner wire always has higher resistance because there's less material for the electrons to flow through. 28awg is thicker than 30awg and therefor lower resistance.
That looks like it would be even lower resistance! If I hadn't already order some of the .024x0.04 I'd buy it. I'd like to try the ribbon out before I start hoarding it.
The Kick is VW. It adjusts the voltage, depending on atomiser resistance, to your pre-set wattage. Unfortunately, with a limit of 10 watts, it is not an option for me. I use a 1.0Ω coil so I'm at 16.8 watts with a fresh battery.
After even more research, it appears that either Baking Soda or Washing Soda can be used. There is a lot of conflicting information about this process on the internet.
After doing a bit more research, it appears that you are correct! While Baking Soda (sodium bicarbonate) will be slightly effective, Washing Soda (sodium carbonate) is the proper product for the job. Also, according to what I've read, the hotter the water is, the better this works. I guess it's...
To clean the contacts, all you need is Baking Soda. Just tumble the four screws, the pin and the bottom spring, for a few minutes in a tablespoon of it in your hand. When complete, I wash off any remaining Baking Soda and thoroughly dry everything before reassembling. Here is a video on the...
You are so correct CW. A couple of years ago I came up the best line of my life. I told my wife she "hurt my feelings". It worked for a couple of weeks until she wised up on me! I'm not sure we should be speaking of these "highly classified" men techniques in a public forum!
