I've been holding off buying a new device, getting by with an old 2010 Provari, waiting on the Poldiac. Today the Provari finally died so I'm sending it in to have the board replaced and I'm using a couple of wooden box mods to tide me over until the Poldiac comes out. As far as button contacts go, my preference would be for whichever surface provides low maintenance and durability along with decent conductivity. Uma brings up an interesting point. The position of the wick hole relative to the button. In a perfect world, you would be able to adjust the placement so that when vaping, the wick is at the bottom allowing for better wicking. On the Poldiac, will the wick hole end up wherever it ends up?- Pete54

Is the best wicking material ss mesh?
That is exactly what I do! I use a "straw" of ss mesh with a core of 3mm silica. Never had a dry hit and provides clean flavor of ss mesh. Once a week I pull the "Burrito" as this type of wick is called, out of the coil and torch it completely clean. Dry burn the coil, reinsert the Burrito and... -
