    I havent found this to always be true, depends on where the short is, I've had pretty obvious shorts that still gave a reading, i figured the short just jumped coils (like went from coil one to three for example, causing a nasty hotspot in 1)

    Whats the ohms testing at and the voltage your running it at? NVM you already answered that, 1.5O at 4v, is the provari giving you an error?
