    I am using same tool for both type of atomizers. They have the same needle, difference is only in diameter of top opening. Therefore: every tool that is good for type A atty will work for type B. It doesn't have to be true in opposite direction ;)

    Purpose of mesh is just to keep fiber threads together. If you put in your needle plate fiber of proper length and thickness(without mesh), it will work just fine - only problem is that you will have to make new one every time you open atomizer for washing and cleaning.

    Yes, in every atomizer there are few layers of mesh arround heater cup. You should break in pieces your dead ati and pull the mesh out. But that mesh is a bit too thick and hard to manipulate with. Mesh from my link above is perfect.
