Maybe I missed it, what's the price ?...looks very similar to this one running a YiHi chipset, wonder where they got the idea.

    IPV D2 announced.

Very slight paint issues with mine about a week in, a few exposed areas around the bottom edge for obvious reasons...something I expected would happen and no biggie for me. I ordered one of the $3 carbon fiber wraps from wake and vape, this wrap covers the battery sleeve only, I bought it for...

    IPV D2 announced.

Knowing the might be in the box/might not sleeve situation you'd think the sellers would just advertise it accordingly and just say you may or may not get one, I don't think that'll make or break a potential sale and it would definitely save them lots of time dealing with it post sale...the...

I'm all about saving money, but considering the minimal difference in price why you wouldn't buy it domestically and keep a few of dollars in the pocket of a U.S. based company is beyond me, you can buy the package with included battery, CF wrap and a pouch for 55 bucks from WakeAndVape or any...

Based on the randomness of said sleeve actually being in the package I'd be willing to bet some of the FT units don't have it, we already know 101vape is sending out some with and some without, pretty much a crap shoot and so is FT's shipping time, might show up quick, might not...really good...

Other than powder coat, Cerakote or anodizing what finish could they have used that would hold up and still be cost effective other than paint ? On this device 50 dollar device I expected a subpar finish, I definitely didn't expect it on my $200 SXM.

I'm learning that TC requires a little more fiddling than I thought it would, I'm not throwing in the towel just yet...there's more fiddling to be done here.

That's disheartening, thought I was on to something here…oh well, back to wattage mode, thanks for clarifying. My NiChrome build is a 2.5mm,26ga,8 wrap w/rayon measuring .75 Ti build was 26ga, 6 wraps if I remember correctly with the same 2.5mm diameter and measured around .2, again if I...

    IPV D2 step down

So maybe I pay attention and do have some Idea. :D Without question you have more than some idea. I'm just wondering if TC functions the same with resistance wire limiting the temp or is it somehow fooled by the higher resistance…seems to be working great, I'll have to try a dry burn test, I...

    IPV D2 step down

A little off topic but D2 related, here's what I playing around with. Nichrome build in Ti temp control mode produced some encouraging results, much more vapor than the Ti wire produced, I'm running 18J at 325 degrees and it's working really well. One thing I noticed is the resistance display...

    KangerTech SUBTANK Mini

A few months ago I picked up AN STM V1 and didn't like very much so passed it to a friend, gave it another shot with this V2...this one rocks with a .75 8 wrap 2.5mm Nichrome+Rayon build, and looks pretty sharp too.

OK you electronical nerds, and I say that with the upmost respect...I wanna fiddle a little and try a Nichrome build in TC mode and I'm looking for numbers, I'll be using 26ga NiCr 80 w/2.5 mm diameter...Ti or Ni setting, recommended resistance and so on. Thanks fellas Try Wake & Vape, they...

All the above clarifies, thank you...I run .75 Nichrome builds at 23.6 watts and live at 4.2 volts, so step down isn't something I'll miss.

Copy that, kinda funny the Chinese even clone there own people's stuff, you wouldn't think they'd bother with a relatively low cost item...guess nothing and no one is immune.

I'll make you a deal, buy one from Wake n Vape, they're 28 bucks + 3 to ship, if you don't like it I'll buy it from you...I think you'll like it with one of your own builds, here's another teaser look for you.

Ordered a 3 dollar carbon fiber wrap for the battery door from wake n vape, not sure how it'll fit going from the curved area on the sleeve to the flat strip down the back, guess we'll see...and wake n vape has a $3 first class USPS shipping option by the way.
