    Official DNA 40 introduction

For those interested, I returned a DNA40 board to Evolv that they received on Wednesday and they shipped me a new board the same day and I received it today. So good on them for the quick turnaround. I have about 5 hours on the new board and it is working as advertised.

Yup, my DIY board made it about 6 hours before the screen started glitching. Sent the board back to Evolv and they received it yesterday. Should I expect to hear anything from them? shipping notice maybe?

I sent a dna40 board back to them on Monday, supposed to be there tomorrow. I hope they don't jack around with repairing/programming it and just send me a new board .

Started getting the random screen lockouts this morning, and it still wont recognize a new atty without rebooting the board. Guess I need to de-solder this thing and send it back to evolv. SUCKS! :nah:

    Official DNA 40 introduction

Put together a Fasttech Hana enclosure dna40 this morning and have been enjoying it so far. Have built 2 drippers, a kayfun, and even a kanger head with nickel with no problem at all. However, my chip will not recognize a new atty whether it be kanthal or nickel unless I remove the battery and...

Building a "hana" style mod with the fasttech enclosure: looking for tips, tricks, and suggestions

I sniped off the same nub on sanjosse's cradle for my dna40 build. I have everything but the FT enclosure, but it left San Francisco yesterday so maybe I'll have it by the weekend.

Nothing surprising in Phil s review, just confirmed what many already knew. Looks like my little SMOK volt/ohm meter was telling the truth after all.

Lost my Istick Friday morning at work. Spent half the day re-tracing my steps but couldn't find it. As we were walking out the door to go home I got a call from one of our customers in L.A. that we had shipped a part to counter to counter early that morning, and he says to me " There was one...

I've been using the Istick as my work device for a few weeks now and it has been a winner for me for sure. Great form factor and awesome battery life. That being said, I have had and still have the same issue with the output voltage/wattage vaping hotter than the displayed setting. When I say...

Got 2 more in the mail today from Smoke Evolution. Blue one for the wifey and another black one for me. She loves the blue for sure, now maybe she will leave mine alone. Best part though was the little pack of gummy bears that came in the box from Smoke Evolution. they were magically delicious!

Been using the Istick for my work rig for for a few days now and am loving it. Battery life has been excellent, I used to go through two 1300 mah spinners, but I can vape this thing all day and it's still half charged at the end of the work day. I use evod clearos at with home built 30ga 1.5...

Interesting, I have one of those inline volt meters and it won't read anything one this device. Does your meter apply a load or something? because the Istick wont fire unless it has a load between 1.0 to 3.0 ohms.

All true, but there is one key phrase in all of that. " It's regulation regardless as long as the device keeps the voltage at 3.0 volts "

My findings exactly, but I will go as far to say that my Smok Omnitester is accurate enough to show that my Istick will not buck below battery voltage. I have 4 other regulated devices and they all measure within .1v to .2v of the set voltage on the same tester. It's not all that uncommon...

I still think its a good buy for $35.00. Fits in my pocket real nice, plenty of power for my needs, 2200 mah, usb charging, With a 1.4 or 1.5 coil on it it's right in my wheel house.

I have done several test's with my SMOK ohm/volt meter and it does not step down. I have compared it with a provari 2.5 and a YIHI sx350 mod on the same meter at the same voltages and the istick will not go below 4.0 volts on a fresh charge. I also have found that when setting the istick...
