This is an interesting read. There are a lot of papers out there, some of them produced by ANTZ or Big Pharma seem to prove the e-cigs are dangerous, whereas others say it is much safer than cigarettes. This article discusses how a non-scientist can approach such papers critically and gain some...
Due to family members that failed to properly use Amazon wishlists, I ended up with two Squape/Rs. Cloud 9 accepted the surplus one back without any quibbling. Thanks.
Another useful statistic would be the benchmark Dr Farsalinos used for the Diacetyl study: 3ml and 300 puffs per day. That would probably be appropriate for a clearomiser and I would increase the ml somewhat for an RBA or RDA. This gives some rough and ready approximation for the number of puffs...
I believe that the Twist and Spinner do maintain the set voltage until the battery needs to be charged. A basic EGO battery on the other hand would just supply the battery voltage, which would drop as the battery discharged.
OTOH, you won't find a 2000mAh EGO battery.
My vote would be for a Mini Protank or an Aero Tank, and a Vision Spinner battery.
The Mini Protank has an open draw that many people moving on from cigarettes don't like, whereas the Aerotank is adjustable. It's worth noting that the strength of the draw affects how much liquid is drawn onto...
To be perfectly honest, I am a terribly pedantic person. Although most of us know that you meant mAh, you wrote mah which means milli-are hour, about a square-foot hour, whatever that might measure.
The OP did correctly determine the current required by giving a 1.5 ohm coil a voltage of 4.8V...
No. For all that the folks keep telling you it's dangerous, the Twist is protected against low ohms. It will supply only so much current, reducing the voltage as necessary. If you put a dead short across it it will just flash its LED and not supply any power. (But I still wouldn't court danger...
By international law, batteries that are not in devices must be in carry-on, not in the hold, and they must be in suitable containers -- battery boxes or original packaging by preference, but individually bagged should be acceptable.
Building coils is a dark art. It is not as easy as the videos make it look. For that reason, you may find it less stressful to start out at least using the thinner wire and a higher resistance.
From PBusrdo's review, the MVP20W is the old technology with a bit more power. The MVP3 is announced and uses the new technology. The new screen alone will be worth waiting for, in my opinion. (Which is worth little because I won't be buying either; I'm looking to build a DNA40.)
"The MVP3 is a...
Whether or not I can detect noxious chemicals in quantities that may have a health effect, I am rather confident that I can detect them before they reach the levels in a cigarette. Even if they were ten times the level in a cigarette, I only taste them occasionally even on a misbehaving build...
I dry-burn my coils at 10W. They get nice and orange, which is somewhere around 2000 degrees F. Even with a wet wick, insufficient air-flow will lead to a spike in temperature. See PBusardo's interview with Brandon.
Notice that the coil doesn't start glowing until it's twice the maximum...
I switched to deserts immediately after buying 90ml of my favourite tobacco. :-( I was quite taken with Grant's Vanilla Custard for a while. Now I've tasted water-melon I may be moving again.
That's the disconnect.
Inhaling whipped cream is a thing. The propellent used for that squirty cream stuff is nitrous oxide, AKA laughing gas. That's what twgbonehead thought you were referring to and why they said you were doing it wrong.
