Another possibility is to use vaping to fill in between cigarettes for a while. Take as long as you need. It can't be fun trying to come to terms with all this new stuff while being terrified you can't get your fix of nicotine.
You would have been right, zoiDman, if you had stuck to mechanical mods.
To restate your example...
The maximum voltage of a Lithium battery is 4.22V, so...
From I = V/R we can get R = V/I => Ohms = Volts / Amps
Or
Lowest Safe Ohms =Max Voltage of you Mod / Max Amps your Battery can Handle...
You have not understood something important.
The battery current is not the current that it will supply come what may. It is the maximum current that can be safely drawn from it. 0.14ohms is the smallest resistance coil that you can use with that battery on a mechanical mod, not the only...
You got the equation wrong.
V = IR
or V/I = R
or V/R = I
4.2/30 = 0.14 ohms
Another equation is P = VI
4.2 x 30 = 126 watts
The Kick works the same way as the other VV/VW mods. It feeds a variable voltage to the coil and in that way sets the watts.
The resistance is fixed, you've set the...
On the x10 range of the analogue meter, each whole number is ten ohms. So the tenths are ohms, not tenths of ohms. The difference between a short circuit and a standard Kanger coil will be around two tenths on the scale. That's far too small a difference to be usable, but you should be able to...
Even if the analogue meter worked, it is too insensitive to measure a coil. The Ideal meter should be sufficient; it has a 0.0-99.9 ohms range. What reading do you get with that?
There is no way that a correctly reading meter could give the same reading on x10 and x100. Even if it was reading a dead short, which in at least one case it was. Even the dead short should be ten times different between the two readings. That's the whole point of reading the short, so you know...
Most of them are here: The Ultimate List of E-Cig Studies: Are E-Cigs Actually Safe? *Updated 2/16/14 » onVaping
That's not exhaustive, but I think it is most of them.
I also need to see the full report before I give it any credence. Journalists don't get it right most of the time and even an...
That's a political term, not a scientific one. Newtonian physics was settled for several hundred years before Einstein upset it. Similarly, dicetyl was known to be safe before some folk making popcorn started to feel ill.
But with those provisos then, yes; inhaling PG and nicotine in the medium...
Data and trusted medical opinions.
There are so far no unflawed studies that have shown any long-term damage caused by vaping. There have been a few flawed ones. Meanwhile all independent medical advice is that vaping is at least 98% safer than cigarettes.
Are you saying that the paper you link to is a 5-year study of vapers? Because it isn't. It's a literature study on eliquid analysis. I would be very interested in a link to the 5-year study, if perchance there is one out there.
Small in which dimension?
An eGo is wider than most (but not all) pens, but you can get a very nice vape in a very small package...
eGo-C 450mAh battery
IGO-S single-coil dripper
Ceramic shorty drip-tip
An eGo beauty ring would make that perfect.
When you say pen, are you talking thinner than an eGo-C (15mm) or smaller than a Provari (22mm) ?
In eGo size there's the EVODs (now in glass), and you can get batteries down to 450mAh, so the whole thing fits in the palm of your hand.
Below that size, there's the Vision Nano which isn't bad...
@zoiDman, It isn't a matter of melting before the coil, the OP was talking about torching it. I have seen one or two YouTube videos where torching is recommended, but I've never done it.
@Giraut, I don't use deionised water either. If I'm boiling equipment I use tap water, and even if I'm...
It is possible to melt silica with a blowtorch, have you ever seen people making those little glass animals? But it isn't easy; those torches are focused to a tiny pencil point. I doubt a creme-brulee torch would get hot enough to melt silica, but it might get hot enough to make it brittle.
On...
It is possible to make a retro-fit steel-glass tank.
Make a steel tube with an inside diameter of just over the outside diameter of the glass tank. Put a couple of slots in it to allow the liquid level to be seen. Line it with something with a reasonable friction coefficient so it will stay in...
Can you post the make and model of your meter, or failing that, a clear photo of the meter scale, and we can tell you what you should be doing.
For example, you do know that there is probably a separate scale for ohms and it probably runs backwards?
You are measuring between the right points...
You should consider seeing a doctor. We are not doctors.
That said, the reason you lowered the nic was because you were going to be using more liquid with a dripper. There's more in the liquid than just nic, and it could be you are reacting to your increased intake of one of the other...
