I was thinking a sleeve on the lower unit might do the trick for airflow. Drill out the original air-hole much larger, then have a hole in the sleeve. Turn the sleeve matching up the holes to govern how much air flows through. Of course this will only be easy if I can find a tube that closely...
It was the material they call 'White, Strong & Flexible'. They didn't have silver or many other options when I ordered it. It feels pretty strong and has a sort of porous feel to it. I designed it with the intent of using it to create a cast mold that I would then add the finer detail to. Bought...
O-ring helps a lot, was considering melting a small circle around the bottom to see if that helped the seal. Anyone give it a shot?
Wish I had a way to cut the insert shorter. I tried using a pipe cutter but it's too thick and small...Right now I only have it about a third of the way in. The...
I was working on a box that I had printed by Shapeways last year. Got out of box mods shortly after I received it. Was only $36 but was a simple prototype, didn't build in the curves etc. So the price of a comfortable box would be a bit more.

Yea, I've been using a SGV3 daily since last October or so. Probably took a couple weeks to learn, but once I had it figured out it was great. Can't wait for the mini to come in! That being said I really haven't had any issues with the GTUS minus replacing the screw with a stud and nut. Now I...
I have a SGV3(1.9ohm) and my GTUS Ego-Tank(2.1ohm) with the same juice and the SGV3 definitely has better flavor/th. I think that's just a product of the upper/lower atty chambers. I use a silicone cap and removed both the plugs as suggested by AG and it's a little better but not close to the...
Having juice in the center tube should not cause dry hits. If anything it'd cause a short or juice to leak from the bottom. Dry hits would most likely be a wicking issue or your voltage is too high.
Search YouTube for 'Multimeter how to'. There's a bunch of videos on there, it's pretty straight...
Ah that explains it for the syringes I have. They are Monoject 3ml and have text that can't be scratched off with my fingernail, unlike the large syringe I have for refilling my tank.
For those having short issues it may be worth a shot to use a different juice when treating the wick. I used the juice I was vapping which was a low flavored, high PG, organic VG mix that is very clear. It didn't leave too much residue and I couldn't tell you how many times I burned juice on...
I've had a full size unit since last August. Used it heavily every day since it arrived with no issues. Came to this forum to see thoughts on the mini. I think it's time to downsize :)
I have a bag of each black and red SGV3 o-rings laying around so figured I'd check it out. Don't really notice any difference in vapor, but I agree it looks much better and aligns the air hole with my ProVari button which will help prevent those slurpy sounds...though I haven't really had an...
Solution: buy more syringes lol. I bought 100 3ml syringes off Amazon August '10 for $11.50. I've gone through maybe 10-20 at most and usually that's because the plunger starts to grab the sides. I think this has something to do with the oil flavors, but nonetheless it's nice to have a new one...
For a good connection it should be screwed down. Even on my SGV3, where I use a spring/washer setup for my negative post, on occasion I have to pop the top and give the washers an extra squeeze when the resistance goes up. Otherwise you have a current drop at that location and it will not...
0-80 Stud(Shortened with Dremel)
0-80 Hex Nut
Screw had a very short life. Stud went in tight and no longer have to worry about stripping the screw or insulator.
