    Favorite Menthol Juices?

I love me some sub-zero. Definitely the most in-your-face menthol flavor I've tried.

    9 volts

Two big issues with 9V batteries: The paltry mAh rating (400-600) which leads to the next problem, which is useful life under a 1-2A draw. I haven't seen any test graphs, but since they're usually meant for mA levels, I imagine you'd get one good vape before you drain the battery dry. Even AA...

Wasting CHARGE CYCLES Really? How long should I Charge

I totally have that Micronta digital timer! Great stats on the batteries.

Are there batteries that allow you to use normal dry cells like AA?

Alkaline cells run just fine. I've used them in a pinch in my 4AAA puck mod. They run at a higher voltage than the NiMH cells, but that's not really an issue for me. They also discharge very quickly, but they'll do the job safely as far as I can tell. It's fairly hard to make them unsafe unless...

    Halo triton tank system

I don't use the Halo batteries, but the Triton tank is great. I picked one up while buying juice from them and don't regret it at all.

Sharp spike in smokers using banned electronic cigarettes (Singapore)

What a nightmare. I hope it never comes to that over here.

High failure rate on Halo Triton tanks

I haven't had any trouble with my Triton tank, but I don't use a Triton battery with it, so I can't speak to connection issues. As for losing juice, that's why I like tanks over cartos. I can scavenge most of the juice out of a tank/clearo without any issues. On the other hand, I'm not about to...

Halo Triton tank on 510 or KR808D?

I understand your situation. The only reason I bought the Triton was because it was a fair price and I was already buying liquid from Halo. I didn't know it had goofy threads at the time, but I refused to let it go to waste so I went to hacking that eGo adapter until it worked.

    V2 Cigs EX Blanks

I couldn't believe the price hike when I saw the EX units as compared to the liquimax betas. I like the liquimax units, but they were pushing the envelope as far as pricing went to begin with. I'll definitely be spending my money elsewhere. I hope V2 realizes their mistake.

new to vaping...obsessed and confused now.

The Halo Triton is quite nice. I don't like that they went with the vGo threads, so I hacked an eGo to 510 adapter to work with my mod.

Halo Triton tank on 510 or KR808D?

UPDATE!! I got to thinking, and I modified my already modified eGo-510 adapter to make airflow with a sealed connector. I drilled a hole very carefully in the 510 side and now it works like a charm.

Halo Triton tank on 510 or KR808D?

I used an eGo-510 adapter, filed down the top and it made contact just fine. Then I used a 510-808 adapter. The downside is you can't used sealed connectors. The only airflow is through the center hole in the adapters and then the connector. It's not a showstopper for me, but others might not be...

    Mechanical Mods

As much as I love to see people pushing anything to the limit, mechanical mods seem like a heck of a price tag for it.

Dangit Puck, now I'm chomping at the bit as I wait for my Madvapes order to come in. I'll post pics when my Puck MVP is complete!

Halo - Kringle's Curse...my thoughts and need help!

I find KC to be plenty sweet, but a bit on the mild side for my tastes. My bottom coil tank makes the flavor really muted, so I prefer it in my top coil unit. Subzero is more my speed. It's like a minty punch in the face.

Newbie with some questions about DIY

Gotcha. Well, there are a few other variations out there in the mod forum. What do you have in mind? What do you want it to look like? What features do you want it to have? Once you get the basic concepts from the Puck design, you're only limited by your own imagination and abilities.

NiMH mod? Here's a good place to start... How to build the Puck I've built a few of these and they're pretty easy. Not mechanical, but no electronics except for the LED and its resistor. ThePuck has a site he links in there with several variations and tips.
