Recently I bought a batch of EGO style batts, they frequently would not stop charging. One battery I took on and off the charger for 8 hours thinking it would turn off soon because it did previously, and works fine otherwise. I have a mixed bag of genuine Joytechs and generics, the joytechs work flawlessly every charge. I feel safe using those specifically on a usb port not a wall wart so it was not the chargers, the contacts are cleaned often. The joytechs do work properly, they still charge significantly longer than needed.

I found I overcharged all my batteries and maybe ruined a span of charge cycle life.
I timed every EGO battery I own, none of them were unlatching from the charger at their charge cycle end, they would charge 1-3 hours longer than they needed. Its checking the voltage I have seen in posts but its done charging, when it is not; when measured its still charging a fully charged battery.

Utilizing an online calculator of battery efficiency and charge time;
5 straight days, 5 straight days I had fully charged batteries in less time. AWESOME

I had an old digital 1980's Micronta 3.5hr timer you can use any vacation timer etc., I use it with a wallwart usb 420mah output plug and results are perfect charges @ 0% efficiency loss.. I will get every bit or close to 300 charge cycles out of my EGO batteries..

Online battery charging calculator makes it easy;
Your battery size in mAh
Look on your chargers tag/instructions for output mAh, its usually 420mAh for EGO style usb chargersBattery Charger Calculator, Batteries Charge Time Calculation - Free Online Calculators

EGO
650mah: 1hr35mins full charge
900mah: 2hr15mins full charge
1100mah: 2hr35mins full charge
1300mah: 3hr full charge
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
AA/AAA/14500/10440/18650/16340 batteries
DC 1.2V / 370mA, DC 3.6V / 320mA, DC 9V / 120mA

These batteries will charge at a lower rate with in-expensive chargers and take much longer to charge
buy a good charger is my recommendation or it may take a full day to charge one/two etc. batteries..
Many intelligent chargers will ramp their cycle from 750mAh or higher and speed up charging time significantly
