    The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread

Can anyone comment on this, please? Will I ever be able to use TFA Vanilla Custard and NOT taste black pepper? I started at 15%. I'm down to 5% and it's still primarily black pepper. I would be assured if anyone else has had this experience and was finally able to get the flavor percentage...

    TPA/TFA Recipes only!

All right!! Thank you so much! It looks really good with all flavors I like. Masterlock put up a recipe with vanilla custard. It's back maybe 10 posts. I tried it today and because everyone is different I'll have to back way off on the custard. I've read TFA vanilla custard can get "peppery"...

I thoroughly appreciate your reply. It makes perfect sense to me. There has to be a reasonable approach and the only way to have that is accept personal responsibility and be aware of KNOWN hazards. It's tough to keep track of the flavors that may have acetoin or that other one... Now I know...

You really liked the RY4? Great! What percentage did you use? I assume you did a single flavor. You couldn't have let it steep, right? So, you mixed it, let it set for a while and vaped it. Result=good. I've only done fruit, too. Your reason for trying RY4 is the same as mine. I have 10ml at...

I'm going to be roundly chastised because I can't think of any way to ask my question without appearing ungrateful. Please understand that I'm not ungrateful... HotRod - while I am an old duffer I am still pretty facile with technology. I *know* you could make some money if you could come up...

Kilzon... Yes, sir! Been doing the ACV thing, too. There's just something not quite right about the apple. It's lacking a sparkle, a tartness... I don't know. For Thunderball and Paddymix: "Shiawassee Blueberry" Grain Alcohol 2% TFA Blueberry Wild 11% TFA Raspberry Sweet 2% TFA Caramel...

    TPA/TFA Recipes only!

Someone a ways back in this thread suggested using TFA Raspberry in a TFA Blueberry Wild recipe. Well guess what? I've been struggling trying to get a good blueberry recipe for almost a year. The TFA Raspberry was *SPOT ON* for making this single flavor Blueberry recipe work. Now... I've also...
