Good points, thank you Venusian. I have noticed how clean this stuff vapes, I usually have to burn my coils clean ever two days, at least, and so far with the CC I have no need to do so even after two days of heavy use. My coils look pristine and the absorption rate with this stuff is...
I am of the mind that the CC in particular is totally harmless, but that's just from using it for a few days.
What did your research lead you to think?
True, Amanda. My box of 500' cost $10. I also went to a Sally's in the ghetto, so maybe that had something to do with it.
EDIT: That 44060 is the 500'. There's a 40' option out there, and even smaller baggies, although I have only seen those online.
So, someone remind me, too many pages to sift through. Why are we remaining so confident that the tencel and ramie and CC are safe for our purposes? I know JeremyR was talking about it a couple days ago, just curious as I'd like to be able to explain it to others.
I prefer cotton gauze to cotton balls, and never really did mind using it, as after a while I just could not vape off silica because the taste was so prevalent. Tencel top works amazingly well, but is a pain in the buns to wick with. This CC is the perfect in-between, I cannot believe how great...
Thanks to everyone who's advised and experimented in this thread. I think adoption may be difficult for some, but I have no fears after using rayon/tencel/CC solely for a while now. Stuff is the best wicking material I've had the pleasure to use.
The tencel top is like hair, it shrinks considerably when wet. The pill bottle rayon is more like the CC, I used it for a moment. I wicked it just like cotton when I used the pill bottle stuff.
Yeah, I just wanted to test this stuff to the max, why I literally packed this W with CC. I had to push on the coil and pull pretty firmly on the CC to get it through. I thought for sure it was going to choke, but it vapes beautifully. I didn't go as heavy on the Magma with the stuff and it's no...
I don't think anyone is saying you HAVE to cram the stuff in there. What I believe we are saying is that if you do, it's STILL gonna wick like a fiend, which is pretty incredible.
This CC is pretty great, amazed you can vape it perfectly dry before getting anything close to a dry hit. That said, I also like that you can tell much more readily that you're wick is getting dry just by the taste. Cotton would sneak up on me and even after using it for the past year or so, and...
The Magma would be a ..... to drill the airholes out, they curve up from the outside. The airholes sit under your coils, it's a feature of the RDA. Again, not a deal breaker, I love mine. The post holes I would consider, but I'm set on 30ga. I'm not a real cloud chaser or anything, and like my...
I am not floored by it, but it's a nice dripper. Very well made clone, machining is superb. Well isn't as deep as I imagined, but holds a good 20-30 drops. Flavor is intense, but even wide open on the AFC ring it's borderline too tight a draw for me. I've been using it a lot, so it's doing...
Thanks, AmandaD, I'll keep that in mind. Pulled tencel outta the Magma and got it set up with some CC. This stuff is so easy to work with versus the tencel top. Dreaming up ways to blend the two fibers, if only for fun.
Just rewicked an IGO-W with the CC. I had tencel in there, but wanted to see how much CC I could fit in the coils. These are dual ribbon 5/6 wraps with a 1/16" ID. I twisted the CC tight and had to give it a good tug to get it to pull through on both coils. Thought for sure I'd overdone it. I...
