I've rarely had an 801 die on me. Usually they just end up tasting like ... after months and months of good reliable service. No amount of soda/alcohol/boiling water could remove the horrid flavor once it set in unfortunately.
I threw a LR 801 on my REO using an adapter and I can't keep the darn thing from leaking all over the place. I squonk it and take a few drags and next thing I know I've got juice all over the place. I believe I've adjusted the adapter to where it needs to be and I'm not flooding the atty...
Okay I've had the 17670 batts in the grand for most of the week and actually prefer them to the IMR 18650 batts. The 17670s don't last longer really but seem to be very consistent throughout their charge life. They are black too so they match my Grand. ;)
Overall I'm real happy using them...
Concerning Pyrex drip tips... The non tapered are the 'hour glass' shaped tips, right?
The what I assume are 'tapered' Pyrex tips have a very weird look to them.
Good choice on the v3! I've tried a lot of mods that are out there and the prodigy series is still one of my favorites! I just picked up a v3 a few weeks ago and it is great. You won't be disappointed! The craftsmanship of the v3 is top notch!
