    Getting odors out of Reos

The one thing that makes me scratch my head...how did they get e-liquid up in there, enough to get the scent to be so strong...

    Getting odors out of Reos

The coffee grounds are working pretty good. I covered it in grounds last night and this morning it is much, much better. I put it back in the grounds for the day, going to see how it works over time. If it does not clear up in a few days, I'll order a rebuild kit. Bummer though, with what I...

    Getting odors out of Reos

I'll try that tonight. So far, nothing has worked. I've used the efferdent about 4 times, it helped but not much. Using another e-liquid on it didn't affect it at all. I hope I don't need a rebuild kit, but it is looking like it. It's much less than when I got it but it is still strong. I...

    Getting odors out of Reos

I'm going to work on it again today, I think I will run out and get some efferdent if the "erasing it" does not work. It was so strong yesterday I could smell it before I walked into the room it was sitting in. Anise is strong.... Nerek, on the coffee grounds wet or dry? Is not a bad idea...

    Getting odors out of Reos

I picked up a Reo grand off the classies today. Great condition except that it must have been used with a licorice vape. I pulled it apart and have been trying to get the smell out. So far I have soaked it in hot soapy water, then in ever-clear, and used baking soda/vinegar on it. The feed...

    A real introduction!

Welcome, Richard. I have used the flat tops in mine occasionally with no problems. I mostly just use the AW IMR's. I'm curious what kind of coil you are using in the Hornet. Is it a cotton micro? Makes a world of difference in vape quality with what the coil is like and the medium.

    Trying DIY, have some questions....

That's something I never thought of before - flavoring differences to adjust for nic. Interesting and makes sense.

    Trying DIY, have some questions....

Interesting about nic vs no nic. I have heard this before. I have ordered different flavors from different vendors 3 times now with 0mg, 6mg, and 12mg. The only difference is the color. This way they were all mixed at the same time and (likely) by the same person with the same ingredients...

    Trying DIY, have some questions....

Thanks Everyone, this is what I was looking for. Just some basic ideas on where to start. Everything is headed this way at this point so now it is time to sit and wait. I don't think I will try anything until next weekend when I can work undisturbed.

    REOs not performing well?

Since I got this one working I figured I'd clean the spring on the others. I have done two more and what I found surprised me. Both of them had gunk (e-liquid or residue from cleaning?) underneath them. The screw threads were mostly covered in whatever it was. Cleaned, filed (spring and...

    REOs not performing well?

Eureka.... I based on every-ones suggestions I focused on the spring today. Took it out completely so I could clean the top contact point as best as possible. Figured I noalox it while i was at it - good idea ltrainer. Hit the top contact with a file again for good measure. Been working...

    Trying DIY, have some questions....

Thanks DannyV45. That is quite helpful. I know I have to find what works for me. However, your comments help give me an idea of where to start. Just the thought of using cheese as the base with less strawberry makes sense but I would not have thought of it -- at least for the first 100-200ml...

    Trying DIY, have some questions....

I've decided to give the DIY thing a shot. I have order a bunch of supplies for mixing but have a few questions. I ordered a bunch of flavors and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas which one(s) might be a good place to start and suggest a starting %. Here is what I have coming (I went...

    REOs not performing well?

I just thought of cleaning the spring today...you were ahead of me. I need to get something better to do it with tomorrow and give it a shot. Everything is pointing towards a contact issue somewhere.

    Cyclone RBA Nirvana

I've been thinking about the difference between the RM2 and Cyclone. I'm not sure I can establish that there is a difference in the vape quality. I would have to have both side by side, with the same resistance and coil configuration, and with the same e-liquid. Things I can compare: The RM2...

    REOs not performing well?

Well, I grabbed a fresh battery this morning and sanded both the contacts. So far, so good. I'll take her out of the day and see if she peters out or not. I do use a metal file, I got a cheap set at Wally's since none that I had would work. I thought of the spa trip, but she is only a few...

    REOs not performing well?

I've tried that, worth another shot though. Happens with every battery I put in it though - I rotate through about 8 cells.

    REOs not performing well?

I'm have a heck of a time with one of my 4 Reos. Its the first one I ever got, a black wrinkle. It keeps cutting out or hitting really poor, started a few months ago. I have cleaned it, filed it, noaloxed it, talked nice to it and swear to it. Problem keeps coming back. I know if I pop it...

    Cyclone RBA Nirvana

One thing I forgot, it is smaller so may be harder for some to rebuild. However, using a micro coil makes it much easier on the smaller base. Pre-wrapped coils can be a pain on the Cyclone since it is so small.

    Cyclone RBA Nirvana

A few weeks ago I tried a micro coil and cotton on my Cyclone. It is amazing. I think it is a hair better than the RM2 but it is hard to tell. I do know the flavor is better and I don't get very many dry hits. Having the longer wick in the Cyclone keeps it "wet" longer.
