Thanks, Terry. I'm still trying to convince Bill he needs a pair.

Our winter isn't over. It snowed a little last night and this morning. Just a fraction of an inch, but it was snow. And the wind was howling, though it's calmer now. Even so, I'm grateful that the temperatures these days are more moderate than the extreme cold we had in January and February...

Good night, all. Here's another photo from my walk yesterday. This is the Taughannock Creek, upstream of the big waterfall. A week ago it was solid ice, but with the warm weather, the ice is breaking up. This photo might not look like much, but I was intrigued by the icebergs.

Lizzie, did you ever get that brown leather backpack yet? When you do and use it a bit, I'd appreciate a report on how you like it.

Good night, folks. Tonight's photo is from my walk today -- the flock of sheep around the corner from my house.

A friend emailed me about a barn she knows that has a metal roof over their indoor arena, where people ride horses in winter and when it's rainy. They have snow guards for the roof so the snow doesn't slide off and make a huge crashing sound and scare the horses. I was curious, since I'd never...

Here's our spring-not. It is warmer, though, and I took a long walk this afternoon. I haven't been out for a walk in ages, and I really should have started with a shorter one, but it was so nice to be out with my camera that I just couldn't turn back.

Here in New York, I wouldn't exactly call it spring, but it's definitely warmer lately than the frigid temperatures we had all winter, and the snow is melting little by little. Last night, though, the temperature dipped into the teens, so we aren't quite there yet.

Wow! Yes. They sure do resemble each other. I think it's the hair & beard more than that their face is similar, though.

Rave, that's weird that the man with the lamb looks like your husband. Here's another shot of him. Still a lookalike? I wonder if they're related.

Rave, I love that photo of the deer in the fog. I love fog, too, when I don't have to drive in it.

I'm sorry your birthday wasn't more upbeat. It should be a time to celebrate, even if we don't like to be reminded that we're getting older.

Good night, folks. Here's a photo from last spring -- the man who has the sheep with one of his lambs.

I didn't know it was Rave's birthday! Happy birthday, Rave. I wondered why we hadn't heard from her today. I guess she's celebrating. Enjoy, Rave.

We've got warm weather, above freezing, and it's raining. It's been a while since I saw rain. All the precipitation has been snow all winter. I went to the barn and groomed Penny and put her lightest blanket on. Not the rain sheet, one just a bit warmer than that, since she's had her heaviest...

Hear! Hear! I agree. In fact, most people who took this poll -- POLL: Is Daylight Saving Time Still Necessary? - AccuWeather.com -- don't like changing the clocks. If it's so unpopular, why do they still do it? Because they set it in motion years ago, and changing the system would be...
