    eVic-VT mini?

I was having no issues with the 2.0 firmware using SS TC mode. Then I decided I preferred the look of the old screen and went to 1.30. I started having some odd issues with weak vapes in SS TC mode. I went back to 2.0 and it's fine again. This was all with the same tank and coil. There isn't...

    eVic-VT mini?

I just had the aenemic vape issue with my .27Ω 24 gauge SS build. I don't know what caused the issue, but unscrewing and replacing the tank solved the weak vape problem. I never had the issue with higher ohm builds. All of my other SS coils were above .5 ohms. Could that be related to the issue...

Just put a .27Ω 24 gauge 316l SS coil in the Crown RBA. The VTC is working well in temp control set to 40w and 460°. I've tried SS TC using three tanks and 6 different builds. The update is a big success on my end.

Make sure to use normal spaced coils below 1 ohm for SS TC mode. If the coils are not spaced or if it's above 1 ohm it either throws the mod back into watt mode or it won't read the correct temperature. What kind of tank and coil are you using?

The new colors will match-up to the new tanks better. The original mods don't quite color-match the tanks, but since I plan on switching the tank colors anyway it shouldn't matter. The windows look a bit easier to see the juice levels. Gotta say, the Crown has a few quirks (o-rings and the...

I've been enjoying the stainless steel temp control so much with the VTC that I had to order another one. Stainless builds just vape so much nicer for me in TC. Got the white this time so I can go for a storm trooper look. I wanted to try the v2 model but simply couldn't wait.

It looks like the mod colors will match the tank colors much better. The original black and white mods didn't match the tanks. Personally, I really like the tank from the kit. The rebuildable heads work flawlessly in temp mode on the VTC if you use a stainless steel coil. They're also the...

    eVic-VT mini?

I agree about needing to make sure that the resistance is locked for it to work. I don't have a standard coil in my Crown head. It's a rebuilt head with a 316 SS coil but it's been working well in TC mode. The prebuilt SS coils all have welded legs. I don't know if that makes temp control...

That may be the reality of the situation. Although they are coming out with rapid updates. It looks like they are trying to solve people's software issues. It could simply be impractical for them to train and pay English speaking Chinese customer service reps well enough to respond to all of the...

Same here. I was all ready to get a second one after the latest SS TC upgrade, but they just came out with the v2, so now I'm a bit torn. Do I save $15 and get another v1 or do I spend more to get the v2 without knowing how the new tank performs. I already really like the eGo One (only with the...

Advise on Tank (Kanger Sub-Tank Replacement)

The RBA for the Crown is very tricky to wick without it leaking, especially when top filling. I do not recommend it. I love my Crown, but prefer to rebuild the normal coil heads than to fool with the leaky RBA. Sometimes the RBA works very well, but it cannot be trusted.

I FINALLY got a box mod thank god

I absolutely love small single battery box mods. I have a bunch of them but never tried a Sigelei. This one looks pretty tempting.

    need new setup suggestion

I wouldn't recommend the nebox. It has a plastic tank and if one of your juices cracks the tank, it's lights out. Plus you'll be stuck with only the one built-in tank on that mod forever. It's a bad option unless you have a specific need for it and you know what you're getting into. If you...

    eVic-VT mini?

I just vaped my tank bone dry using a 0.54 ohm 316 SS coil in temp mode. No trace of burnt cotton or a burnt hit. The stainless steel temperature control works. The VTC never threw the coil out of TC mode and never changed the resistance reading. It's still early, but so far so good.

Then you will love the VTC Mini. It has true step-down for people (like us) who prefer a nice cool vape. If you decide to try a low ohm coil that you happen to have, it will still give you a cool vape at 12 watts. I generally vape at between 16-25 watts and the battery lasts a long time on one...

    eVic-VT mini?

I've had mine for 2 months and I almost only use it in normal power mode. It's an absolutely terrific VW mod. I true that, like all single 18650 mods, the battery will not last very long if you use it at high wattage. If you plan on vaping all day at 50-75 watts you will be better off with a...

    eVic-VT mini?

No. Most tanks use kanthal wire for their coils and kanthal isn't used for temp control. If you want to use temperature control you will need to buy either nickel or titanium coils. They are made for temperature control mods. Some of the tanks that use stainless steel coils aren't fit for use in...

    eVic-VT mini?

I rebuilt one of the eGo One CLR heads with 26 gauge 316 wire and it's working great in temp control. The coil came out to .54 ohm, locked in the resistance before I used the coil, and it hasn't moved. I have a couple of Crown heads that I rebuilt with 316 SS wire to try later on tonight. So far...
