I don't have anything against a Reo, but after seeing the mods you built the tools were a very good idea.
Great work!!!
Wood and I are still learning to get along fully, but we are making progress
Only problem is that it needs a secondary 2S to 6S power source. A 9v battery works, you just have to give positive voltage on two of the balance connector pins.
Somewhere I have some pics......will find and add :D
Mamu/BJ.....Have you guys seen this?
It's 2S/3S balance tap charger that pugs directly into the wall. I was thinking of getting a couple and tearing it apart and see if it could be integrated into a mod.
The new FD510 will actually have a bigger diameter head, so it won't be a drop in replacement. I thought Dennis said he would be getting in some more of the original connectors, I will have to check with him on that.
But remember the original FD510 does need to be modified to fit in the Tibs mod.
No, I abandoned both the 18650 and 26650 fistpack style mod projects for my SxS mod.

Surprisingly nobody has been buying and building mods with the Hammond 1590G replacement door. So I ordered a couple of boxes and a door to try. I was surprised at the actual size of the box, but I know I won't be happy with it unless I sand out the angled sides
BJ - To get a usable 30w setup you might want to try going to thicker wire like the mech mod cloud chasers are using. Some are using 26g to 16g. You could also just try twisting up 3 pieces of 28g.
This is wrong.
Like Tiki said almost any lipo will work, especially RC lipo's.
To calculate constant amp drain rating of a lipo, divide the mAh by 1000 to get Ah and multiply by the c-rating.
Here is an example.....let's say we have a 2S 2400mAh 20c lipo pack that we are going to rewire in...
The top adjust will be an adaption of the prototype I got a couple of weeks ago. It was a floating center pin, but because of how the center pin was done it a had a lot of resistance, so he had them modified for top adjust I believe. I'm not real sure the details on that one.
The new floating...
I'm pretty sure I replied to your other inquiry....Anyway here is what I know :D
Yeah he is out of the original one right now, should have more stock of the original next week sometime.
A week after that, a top adjustable version.
And then a week after that the spring loaded center pin version.
