    We've come a long way...

Ahh yes...searching the supermarket for pyramid tea bags, trying to find just the right blue foam in the aquarium store... Anybody else remember those little yellow cut-out plugs that one modder was selling? Forgot what they were called, but I still have a bag full of them! I'm guessing a few...

Are you coming up on either 2 or 3 years at ECF? POST HERE:)

Coming up on 2 years!...I joined ECF in March 2010, but I was still burning the nasty tobacco leaves along with vaping at that point, so I don't count my two year-a-versary until sometime in April.

    pro vape 1

The Provape was my first mod, and it served me very well and still does! I would look into the Provari though (variable voltage) for a much better vaping experience when you are ready. Do your homework here and read about variable voltage mods in general and the provari in particular--you won't...

How to fix a REO? constant misfires....

...off to get a multi meter. Should have got one a long time ago when I started on this vaping journey. You're right, it is an essential piece of equipment that can save a lot of steps when troubleshooting this equipment.

How to fix a REO? constant misfires....

OMG! Thank you guys---thanks doots! The mini is working again after a little light sanding (and i had to straighten the firing pin a little too with some needle nose pliers--must have pushed real hard when it wasn't working properly) Sanded it, a little noalox, tightened everything back up a...

Thanks doots---haven't tried that yet. Will give it a shot and see if it helps.

How to fix a REO? constant misfires....

The 14500 are not high drain batteries, but the 18650 are. I don't have a multimeter to see if there's a problem with the 14500--but i can use my Provari with the 18650. The Provari works just fine with the batteries, but they will not fire in the Grand...

Thanks for your replies all...guess the consensus is to send a PM to Rob and take it from there.

How to fix a REO? constant misfires....

The button doesn't appear to be worn on either the mini or the grand---it makes good contact with the battery.

How to fix a REO? constant misfires....

I'm using an AW 14500 on the mini. I've used all types of attys and cartomizers on it. I didn't think the switch would fail either, but it did on both of them--it is making contact with the battery. (and the battery works, because that's the first thing I checked). I'm stumped...

How to fix a REO? constant misfires....

I have owned a REO grand since it first came out, it was my favorite go to mod every day. About 6 months after I bought it, the mechanical switch began to fail. Constantly misfired until one day it simply did not work. Tried taking it apart, cleaned it, put some noalox on it--a little TLC all...

    Tank with passthrough...

Get a higher ohm carto, like a 2.5 or 3 ideally if you're looking to vape at 5V. If I try to use a LR carto on my Provari with the voltage too high, it gives an error and will not fire. The converse is also true: If I use a high resistance atty or carto with too low of a voltage setting, it's...

How long do your cartos last?

Like you, a week for me on a 5 pack is about right...once the flavor goes, it's time to switch. Cleaning them is too much of a hassle, it seems, and the flavor is never as good as a fresh carto.

Basilray Reviews: Drip Shields from Empire Mods

Thank you for the review and the link to the site--exactly what I need! I've been using a Reo Grand with a 901 atty, and the juice always ends up coming out of the vent hole and collecting in the reservoir. Unfortunately with a 901, the juice just stays in the reservoir and never gets sucked...

Is there any other product which we would tolerate such a high failure level?

In my opinion, the mods are changing and improving all the time to keep up with the needs of the vaping community. There are some really well designed and durable products out there from bottom fed juice boxes to the newer vv designs. The weak link has always been, and continues to be, the atty...

    Dental Question

I'm firmly in the "dry mouth causes the staining" camp (thanks Rosa). I don't remember where on the forum I read it, (it was months ago) but someone suggested Biotene mouthwash and evora plus mints to combat this. I can tell you from experience that they both work well for dry mouth. Of course...

In Defense of the DSE 901

I'll take a 901 over a 510 any day---I like FLAVOR!!! It seems that all the mods these days only come threaded for 510's. I just use my 510>901 adapter, and vape away! Nice vid...
