    Welcome aboard. A low resistance atty or carto will drain a battery quicker. Check the vendor's list on the main page, they'e all legit. And there's others that aren't listed that are also good. Check the classified and deals sections for sales. You might find a good deal on equipment.

    Recommend a carto for a newbie

    Don't waste time on the toy cartos. Go for the big boys, the eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer, aka EMDCC. You can drop the Boge into it and have room left over. They're low resistance, hold lots of liquid, and can be easily filled without a syringe. Get'em at MadVapes or Hoosierecigsupply.

    Now that's funny about the cat trying to smack a cig. I can see a cat doing that, as my cat smacks the door when I close it, and she's looking out. She'll smack the door four or five times and get her back all up. But, she won't go out.

    Sailorman, I understand about pulling down center pins and pulling the battery contact up. I did it so much, especially with the Smok batt, that I decided to use the extender. It's faster and it always works.

    I have also had contact problems with non Joye batteries. A shorty 510 extension solves that problem.

    After watching the video that was linked to, I pulled the plug out and aligned it. Works much better, no longer hot and burning the back of the mouth. However, I think this will be my first and last one, unless another improved version comes out.

    The last couple of batches of the EMDCC I've ordered don't seem to be the same as the earlier ones. They appear to have a different filler material and don't last as long. Anyone else notice this?

    Geeze, I made a noob mistake by not mentioning I'm using an eGo. Could have swore I put that in. So, it looks like I should have gone with a higher resistance, and like an atty, they have some kind of primer on the coil?

    I got my first clearomizer, and it sure vapes different than an EMDCC. It's hot and the liquid tastes burnt. Also burns the lips and back of the mouth. I got the 1.7 ohm, and am now thinking I should have gotten a higher ohm. Is my thinking in the right direction? Link below to what I bought...

    The shorty 510 extension is not necessary all of the time. Sometimes I have an EMDCC that won't connect, no matter how much I try to pull the carto connector down or raise the battery contact. I have one battery that just won't work with the EMDCC without the extender. And that battery happens...

    Of course an eGo battery will work with LR cartos and attys. I've been using the EMDCC for months on eGo batteries. Sometimes a shorty 510 extender is necessary for a good connection, when fiddling with the carto and battery don't work.
