my LM2577 board only charges to 31.5 volts, no more....bad board? pot all the way open, it will reduce voltage by turning the pot the other way, but wide open i am only getting 31.5... replaced the diode i was using with a larger one, nothing, and i'm using a 50v cap.... thanks in advance- dezyner

thanks Scope. was trying for LED to indicate voltage...so you could see what the voltage was? i made a welder out of an old disposable camera flash for myself, which works fine for me, but was trying to hook a buddy up with one with all the safety stuff i could care less about. lol, you know...- dezyner

worth every penny, the best I have tried so far. for me, nicest one I have. zero problems, complaints or issues. quality and build are fantastic. premo stuff. It's a Hercules atty on top. cool. thanks. and no, we don't want shorts. I may try this. for now, I managed to get the stock switch working "fairly" reliably, had to re tension the internal contact spring. I have some silver non resistant wire that would probably work quite nice for the pin diameter fix. got a buddy that... -

nice. i have a friend with access to machine shop back east, i'm on the west coast, I considered asking him to machine me the parts, but seemed like overkill for this device. if you don't mind me asking, what did you wrap the post with? silver NR wire? and what size are the screw and nut you used? -

nothing I could find on the shelf would work. what i did was try to fabricate the parts, without specs, or a lathe. so, i wound up turning the "lathe"(dremel) around the part. not exactly successful, but now I am kinda determined to come up with a better set up than stock. thanks for the... -

yep. turning the LED off is probably the way to go. I really don't want to send it back. It's all that stands between me and an Ego battery, or a mechanical. I've emailed them the details and numbers, so if they don't know from that and can't apply those numbers to trouble shoot it, why bother... -

I did take the batteries out to verify they are charging, and at what level on a meter. verified by the prov itself, with no atty. I never ran the multi meter on the prov, just on batteries, out of unit, to verify which reading was "true". I started cleaning contacts, all of them, every day, and... -

ok, it is written with bad grammar, should read "without "an" atomizer", not "a" atomizer...? 1.5 to 1.8 are low resistance, not "no" resistance.? i don't connect the prov to the volt meter, i take the batteries out when I meter them. -
