Confusing results regarding coils/ohms
Sadly there really isn't any general rule for coil building. You're on the right path though since you're testing with 2 different gauges of wire. What device are you firing these coils on? Without knowing that and what voltage/wattage you're firing at, it's hard to tell you anything else. But...- Ryuukon

Frankly it doesn't matter if it's got batteries in series. The only thing that affects is the voltage output from the batteries. Doesn't do anything to change what the circuitry can handle. And looking around over the past 30 mins or so I've seen that the E-Mech is only rated at anywhere from 7... -

Should work just fine. The Vamo will work with flat top or button top batteries, and will only draw (if memory serves me) around 2.5 amps at most. I don't know much about the new purple Efest batteries, but even if it's continuous draw is lower than stated on the battery itself, it's still going... -

I would actually have to agree that it's bad for your device, but not for the reasons specified. The E-Mech has a 7 amp limit. You're running at almost twice that. If the board in the E-Mech is rated at 7 amps, and it's putting out 12, then it's either got a faulty switch in it or no way to... -

Like I said, the Vamo V5 isn't terrible. I know, I own one. That said, I speak from experience on the performance of it, and its issues. Sounds like you are pretty set on a Vamo, just be aware of what you're getting into. The threads are easily damaged, so you might look into getting an airflow... -
Innokin SVD no longer indicates correct coil resistance
What device are you using? Is the pin recessed into the device? Could be it's barely making contact with the 510 pin of your SVD. -

Well, a Vamo V5 isn't bad by any means. It's got a lot of features and, depending on the model you get, can use either 18350s, 18650s, stacked 18350s, or if you get a telescopic model an 18490/18500. Variable voltage, variable wattage, reverse battery protection, short circuit protection, etc... -

Definitely sounds like it shorted, and sounds like the hot spring is in the button. That spring is going to have to be replaced. You could try to stretch the spring back out, but I wouldn't recommend it. Those springs go bad like that for a reason. You'll want to test that RDA for shorts. What...- Ryuukon
