If you browse through the last three pages of this thread there's some discussion on the BVC coils-- starting at post #7658. They work great but a bit of controversy about their composition
There are way too many people having thread issues to chalk it up to user error. I 'd be willing to bet that when Eleaf sat around designing the bending adapter they were mostly thinking about coming up with a temp fix for the thread problem--then someone said--let's make it bend too!

I'm not sure being careful with the threading always works-- it seems to be the luck of the draw to a certain extent. Experienced vapers have had the issue even though they were careful. That's why alot of people went right to one of the adapter options right away. I love my lil guy...
Certainly makes one think twice. The head duel between Kanger & Aspire is sure heating up! Kanger using Japanese cotton in the Subtank was a wise move. Guess we'll see if Aspire reacts
Never rebuilt those--do you know of any good videos or threads on the subject? I rebuild Kangers vertically so...
Sucks that you're having bad luck with the mini. It's definitely the most popular with the iStick. Hope you find a solution!.
I use an Aspire K1 and mostly a Protank with rebuilt vertical coils--both work really well
You say you're having problems with your "second" tank-- do you mean your second refill of the tank or do you have another Nautilus Mini? If so have you tried the coil from your bad tank in the other one to see if that has the same problem with that coil.

I was using the 510--ego adapter & beauty ring with a Protank(rebuilt coils)and was having a few issues with the tank not making contact unless I fiddled with it. It wasn't a huge problem as I could always get it to work but enough to make me want to try the bending adapter. I haven't had that...
