    Is your wick very thin? I suggest you roll a fat wick to accommodate the DIDs 3.5 mm opening. If you do your 4/5-5/6 wrap will ohm out higher, my guess 1.8-2.3, somewhere in that range. At least mine does with kanthal 30. Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 2

    Quick questions on mech mods. I am currently awaiting mine, and I have seen several conversations on the protective fuses. We really don't need them if we generally vape on a 1.8 ohm coil, correct? I would think the fuses are for those on the low end of Ohms .08-1.4, who worry about melting...

    Fuzz, I am with you on this. The cig paper was a good learning experience, however now I find it just clogs up my coil quicker. Like you, a couple of juice burns seems to accomplish the same thing.

    I have a feeling the ss center pole will be tougher to break than the brass. I have tugged pretty hard on my change over to ss in my big DID, I have a feeling I would have broken the brass, but the ss seems tough.

    My exact setup with the did, it should be perfect. I would suggest you must have a short somewhere. With my 1.9 ohm, at 3.7 v, I get great flavor and th. You are vaping at about 7.6 watts, more than enough to generate good vapor and th. Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 2
