To me, it's hand built one at a time. Each is unique. Plus they are darn pretty. I like my metal grand, but it's not different from your metal grand. Even if we chose the same woodville, no two are alike.
I had actually hoped I could buy a non milled RM2 when I am done ;)
No plans to sell, ever. Previous owner already drilled for a lanyard. It's a little work pony.
The tools to mill a little off the top don't compare to making one from scratch  My version of "mill" will be "cut and file".
I like your angle!
I figure worst case is I screw up the connection, send to the master and have him put a new one in. I don't know when I will get to...
One of my OG minis is a little more loved (read...it's been used hard and has a couple extra beauty marks)...and the other day I was looking and thinking. The thought keeps coming to me.
I keep thinking of milling it like the LP grand. My tumbled mini gets all the love, and I just think this...
Nice choice! I had an all red grand not so long ago. Traded for my tux mini 2.1, I miss it a little. I do love tux though, so I know it's at a good home and I am ok with it.
If no one beats me to it, I will when I get home. I just looked...all I have with me is a grand and a spare battery. Man, I never left the house without a million backups before.
Agreed. I don't regret getting the igo from Rob one bit...but I find myself using RM2s more. The igo is in my battery case and has saved my cotton burning self more than once. The only real reason I prefer the RM2 is the space between posts for my standard coil and also the screw on cap...
Sigh...now I have to break out my bag of 2mm silica. I have used and enjoyed it. The threading of it killed me.
If I can get the threading down, I will use it more. I hate burning cotton and yet I always do it.
I'm first in line for mechanical wood! Screw the kick after the pictures I have seen!
What's the hint on the other project? It is a mechanical woodie with a built in RM2? Not to nudge you...just sayin.
I was done after the provari also.
Then I got a reo, and an RM2. Now I am done...except for more reos. The provari is gone. I did love it, but I love my reos more.
