With the Silicone sleeve still on (as not to mar up the surface) I use a pair of pliers, and squeese the carto (at the plastic tip end) around its circumfrence a couple times, applying just enough pressure to hear crunching.     Just mixed up a little taster, 1.5ml 20mg nic 50/50 VG/PG and added 5 drops FA black pepper. Actually, pretty pleasant. Nice Black pepper flavor, but it doesnt taste spicy. I then added 2 drops FA Violet to the bottle, and am currently dripping it to develop an opinion. First impression tho...

    Ethyl Maltol is frequently used to 'sweeten' up tobacco flavors, and can have a caramel / cotton candy kind of feel to it. Looking at the ingredients list on a bottle of TV, it looks like thats one of the ingredients he sometimes uses.. Perhaps this is what you're tasting? -Jason
