If you're going to try gluing it, i would suggest using clear colored "RTV Silicone" adhesive/sealant. ( aka silicone bathtub caulk)
But, dont put it back in service for at least another 24 hours to allow it to cure fully.
RTV silicone is food safe and can be used as a sealant and adhesive in/on...

Thats one of the flavors that can tend to carmelize on the wick and cause a dry burnt taste. try cleaning or replacing the wick.
ps the colas are said to be one of the plastic tank crackers (can leech the plasticizers), but i see you're using a glass tank so...
