Yep, I have an open air case posted somewhere in this thread, as well as a gaming rig. Both of them running = ~100º F in the room that day. It's nice and chilly now, though... maybe I'll game a bit and then fire up the folding on this machine.

The pc room was overly hot today just with the big rig running... I may have to shut down until summer when I can run my central air... urgh.

Alright... it's done, going to see how everything folds for the next day or so. Waiting on the OC; want to make sure things are smooth.

I'm going to be bringing the *nix system down to update it to 12.04, and also configure ramdisk folding. Apparently theres a bit of pre- and post processing benefits for it and "allegedly" offers ppd increases across all wu's. We will see... may even OC the system a little bit. 2ghz to 2.1ghz...

    Team ECF Stats

If we keep going at ~2 million ppd as a team, then we'll break 100 with ease.

Memtest runs outside of the OS so no need to worry. :) Edit: If you haven't already, I would download the bootable .iso and burn it to a cd. Then when you go to use it, make sure to set your system to boot from the cd rom.

Just a scenario, not well thought out. They are production machines so it really would only be during the downtime. (11pm to 7am).

I would suggest testing a single stick at a time. Run it for ~8 hours, and if no errors shut down and test the other stick.

You can pause the unit and run memtest. I suggest downloading the most recent version from Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

So I broke 6 mil... and I've been contemplating. Bootable Linux USB thumb drive... load it on multiple machines at work... if I can remove the drive while FAH is running then I'll be able to load it on roughly 300 machines. They're all i5 systems as well. That would be like... 6 million ppd... rofl

I haven't been keeping up with the thread. HFM, to my understanding, is relatively accurate with 7.2.9; but I'll see if I can find anything.

Happy birthday Justice. Update from me - big rig is folding and that's it for now. Main rig pulls too much power and generates too much heat so I'm letting my house cool down. Looking for a cheapo router that can run dd-wrt and then we will see what happens going forward.
