    Well, technically one can use any dripper, just like with a milled REO. But as you said, only those that are modified for bottom feeding can be used as bottom feeding atties. Otherwise the bottom feeding feature won't work & it's just a simple mechanical box mod.

    To the OP's question: I don't think dripping is going "out" but with such great devices & toppers out now I think more people are saving it for special liquids/times and using those newer, better performing set ups now. Myself, I use a REO & still drip so...yea. Not out for me.
