Show me your kicked smoktech natural !

No gaps here, but I modded the bottom pin so the negative post has full range of motion. I'm using Efest 18500 + kick.

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

Try your local hardware store, Lowe's, Home Depot, whatever. They'll probably have a selection of brass machine screws that could be used as a post. You might have to sand the head of the screw flat, but it should work. While you're there, see if they have small O rings. Another source of the...

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

Didn't someone remove the washer and use a small O ring to keep the post from falling out when the batter is out?

Me gusta! I know I've sen the bottom mod, but the name escapes me.

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

I just got my 18350 batteries yesterday. efest IMR's and they fit perfectly, but I've also modded the lower pin to allow the spring under the negative post full movement. I love the size of it with the shorter batteries!

Nice. I was wondering how it came out. Has anyone tried getting the plastic piece off the positive post?

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

I clipped a coil off mine and stretched it and the tension is perfect, IMO. Just be careful messing with that little spring. I was squishing it between my thumb and forefinger, testing it, and ZING! Off it went. Luckily, it didn't fly too far lol.

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

Yeah it is. I usually use a hemostat clamp to get the screw started. It makes sense removing the washer. The only purpose it serves is to keep the pin from falling out if turned upside down with no battery. Not really an issue with me and it'll be easy enough to put back if it does. Yep, I'm...

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

It's been a long thread and I can't recall if you've done this or not. On mine, the bottom pin was the issue. The way I checked it was to take off the top and see how far the battery could be pushed down, compressing the lower spring. On mine, it didn't push down at all. I removed the lower cap...

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

Yeah, you're gonna find that between different battery models and manufacturers. The basic dimensions are the standard, but there are variations. If they have them in stock, GotVapes carries the 18500 tube by itself.

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

It's pretty dependent on what battery you're using. Mine didn't fit either, until I shortened the lower pin where it goes into the bottom cap. It's too long and doesn't let the spring under the negative post compress fully, if at all. Hopefully they'll address this issue in future revisions. As...

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

I'm using an 18500 with a kick. The kick adds around 15mm. The battery number reflects its size. An 18500 is roughly 18mm diameter x 50mm long. Add a kick to it and it's roughly 65mm, the same length as an 18650. An 18350 is 15mm shorter than an 18500, so if you were to purchase the tube for the...

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

I did the same and the action is just about right, IMO. The button is easier, but still has enough spring that that weight of the mod won't cause it to fire. I'm just starting to read up on using magnets.

It looks like it screws out. I'm not sure what you'd have to use to grab it, though.

SmokTech The Natural - New mechanical device

Hmmm. The only way I can think of to figure out the problem would be to check the threading on everything. It would be great if you knew someone with a tap and die set you could use. Good tap and die sets aren't cheap. Still, you may be able to pick up a 7mm x .5 tap locally for less than 10...
