My Natural threads were very good. A Smoktech Zmax V2 was terrible - loose and weak threads.
Take an atty that fits tightly but you don't care about and add some medium grit compound to the threads. It'll eventually wear away enough to make things screw together perfectly.
I hope it works out. Post pics when you're done. I'd love to do something like that if it works out for you.I'm actually thinking about blackening my Natural. From what I understand you basically get it really wet with linseed oil then take a torch to it till its red hot. You end up with black ish stainless steel with undertones of gold. I'm gonna try it on my IGO L first I think and if I like the look ill do the natural to match.
Make sure you remove the nylon battery/switch separator![]()
Trick:8905839 said:The threading on the Natural's 510 connection is, to put it nicely, crap. Smoktech's sort of got a history of not being very clean when it comes to that part of their mods. A lot of people have the same complaint about the Telescope. I've got several atty's that don't like to thread onto my Natural, and they're the same ones that hated my Telescope.
The only real solution I've ever found is to just make them thread. Screw them on a little, back them off, wipe the connector on the atty, blow out the Natural's 510 connector, and try it again. After a *lot* of back and forth (the worst case I've had was my AC9, which took three hours to work down to flush), you can get stuff to thread. It gets better with time as the rough spots in the threading are worn away.
...If anyone has tips on that I would appreciate it. Other than that, the teardown is very straightforward.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this thread!
Its a nice machine. I made a 1.3ohm coil for my IGO-L and it is fantastic. Also very nice with a vivi nova 2.4ohm.
I will go for the sanding advice later tonight, but working well right out of the box.
I agree that the button is REALLY stiff. I was advised to anneal it to soften it up, but I cannot imagine being able to get that bolt off of the button assembly. If anyone has tips on that I would appreciate it. Other than that, the teardown is very straightforward.

So you're planning on annealing the spring? Many thanks to all who contributed to this thread!

It's mentioned earlier in the thread, but I clipped off a turn and a half of the spring, then stretched it back out. Button action is a lot softer now.
I did the same and the action is just about right, IMO. The button is easier, but still has enough spring that that weight of the mod won't cause it to fire. I'm just starting to read up on using magnets.
