While what you are saying is true, there is a reason why people do it. Dry cotton has a known burn temp. The dry cotton test is a cheap and quick way to test if your mod is accurate in any way. A properly setup coil with the correct base resistance shouldn't burn cotton at 400*F. If it's... -

What was the base resistance reading on the display? What did you set the temp to? In most cases, after sitting a long time, the coil will refine down the base resistance a little bit. If it does you'll need to bump up the temp you run it at.- dimo

It's in there snug, but the 2 screws in the battery tray are the only thing holding it together. There might be some small indentations in the plastic that act as clips to help keep it in. Don't remember for sure. -

Stylemessiah you mod is probably broken and no amount of firmware updates will fix it. Ohms adjusting .01-.02 are normal. I've seen more than that with prebuilt coils before but usually rare. Sounds like a bad 510 connection within the device to me. I had that happen on a Hana modz box before... -
Got an eVic VTC Mini but the eGo One Mega tank is a buzzkill! Mod to increase juice flow or replace?
Use the CLR heads. They have way better juice flow than the standard CL heads.- dimo

I'm sorry you are incorrect. It's way more than 12 amps. 75watts should never be run on a single battery unless its at least a 30amp battery. And even then, you'll get terrible life out of it. As an example all math below uses 72 watts as a baseline. A .5ohm coil to run at 72 watts needs 6... -

The rebuildable one for this is the CLR head. They have 1.0ohm with small airflow mouth to lung vaping and 0.5ohm with larger air hole for lung hits.- dimo
