I want to build a mod, but I don't know where to start... Help!

Hello ECF. I have personally been vaping for over two years and have only now recently been interested in the world of Mods and the building of them. I started out making a sleeve that would fit my ego style batteries (pic below) but found it kind of restraining on what I could actually create...

    STEAMPUNKED Ego-c "sleeve" Ver. 2.0 :)

Try using an old typewriter key as the button... That's what I ended up doing. I'll post pics later!

WOW! They say copying someones design is the biggest form of flattery. Very nice job! I am happy that my work inspired you to do the same! Keep it up! Rand

    STEAMPUNKED Ego-c "sleeve" Ver. 2.0 :)

This is a repost of an earlier thread that I started, but I wanted to make my new design easier to view instead of going through several pages: ::UPDATE - OCT 30th:: It's been a while since I have been on here, and I was amazed to see how many positive responses that I actually got on this...

    STEAMPUNKED Ego-c "sleeve"

::UPDATE - OCT 30th:: It's been a while since I have been on here, and I was amazed to see how many positive responses that I actually got on this. So after long and hard thinking-ness... (LOL) I decided to rebuild it to suit what I need it for. I have several different batteries that I use...

    STEAMPUNKED Ego-c "sleeve"

Kailey, it is a bit heavy. It's not so heavy as to become really cumbersome, but you can definitely tell that you have something with substance. Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement and positive feedback!

    STEAMPUNKED Ego-c "sleeve"

It took me about 6 hours to do. I was lucky to have access to my father's jewelry making equipment, and if i didn't, I am guessing it would have taken longer.

Thank you! future plans for this include a lever like button that activates the Ego, as well as a secondary battery attached to a series of led's, to make the vent holes glow, as though is was a roaring boiler, hence steam. :)

Those are what gave me the inspiration to do this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cosmetic-mods/319250-steampunked-ego-c-sleeve.html

    STEAMPUNKED Ego-c "sleeve"

OK, so I have been vaping for a while and there seemed to be a very small amount of people that have made any kind of steampunk-esque mods for their pv's. I am not totally sure on how to create my own mod, or what is necessary in doing so, so I decided to make a "sleeve" that would fit over my...

Complete NOVICE, lots of vap but NO SATISFACTION

What kind of fluid are you vaping? Mg content? You mentioned 2.4, try a 3.7v. gives a better throat kick. On a side note, have you quit analogs cold turkey to vape? This is what I did, and I found the first week to be complete hell. Probably the wonderful extra additives that they put in...

    New to ECF

Hey everyone! I'm new to ECF, but not new to vaping. I have been off of analogs for over a year and a half now and over $3,000 richer as a result. (Except for the several hundred i've spent on vaping... Money well spent in my opinion) How much have you saved in vaping? I'm interested in hearing...
