I don't think you'd absorb nearly that many calories unless you drank the stuff. I'm pretty sure lungs are not calorie converters. Also remember you are exhaling a significant about of glycerol in the vapor. I wouldn't worry about calorie intake at all.
That said, I am neither a doctor nor...
Sorry TB, I got off point there for a moment. So, what about people donating to the ECA to have them fund a US based, independent study. That could defuse the FDA's current "main" argument against vaping, no?
The gay marriage thing is a meaningless analogy. There is no money in gay marriages for the Government. The big money for Big Pharma in smoking cessation "meds" is important to this ban equation.
So aside from the rabble rousing, what does one do to "fight for their right" in this situation? I...
I quit analogs and was patching for a month or so. I didn't really want to quit nicotine, just quit breathing smoke. I tried a pipe for a while but it was cumbersome. I got down the lowest patch (7mg) then found vaping.
I pretty much only use IntelliCig's ECOPure. I started with Medium (15mg)...
Great story! Scary at the time, I'm sure, but great story now that you're back.
Hey, I bet there'd be no problem at all vaping in China! :-) I just got back from there in the middle of June but next time I go back I'll vape everywhere (and pick up some gear in Shenzhen)! ;)
Yep, this was first posted here. You're right about shoddy journalism. The most telling part is:
What a peabrain - glad I'm not his patient.
Anyway, the original article is here and they do allow comments! It'd be a good thing to throw the New Zealand study at him - probably could find it...
I can't believe I just found this thread. Very nice image. It's going up in my cube at work! I'm also interested in vinyl stickers if that offer's still out there...
Nice. Now I can stash a PV in every room in the house. One on the refrigerator, one under the toilet tank lid, one next to the light switch, one under the desk, one on the dashboard... The possibilities are endless!
The FDA's ability to test is suspect. Also, their ability to regulate is marginal at best. I don't think I want them to test PVs at all. A third-party tester is probably best.
I doubt China has any sway with the FDA. I am curious to know how much business the US really comprises. My feeling is that the number of US PV consumers are very small in comparison to Chinese consumers.
