    This does get "cheaper" right?

You should wash all new coils, including (especially?) the ones you build yourself. Wick can have residues of sizing on it from the manufacturing process and wire can have residues of oil from the drawing process. Neither of these products were intended for what is essentially a food grade...

Long time lurker, first time posting

Yes mechanical unregulated takes a bit more to get right, but once you have it, it's pretty hard to beat. There's a lot to be said for VW too. You know have your required number of posts. If the permissions haven't haven't updated for you leave it a while and try again.

Well, you could tell us what you are using and how it's working for you. You can also ask your questions here. Have you completely given up smoking?

    This does get "cheaper" right?

I vape DIY juice for about $12 a month, build all my own coils, and could probably manage for a year or two if the guberment decides to do something stupid about regulation. Apart from that, see my sig line...

Snow, what's that? ETA: In the arial views, the first is Mackay City, just south of Pioneer River as you can see. Mackay Harbour is just north of the river. It's a lovely spot, but it's expensive and a bit like going back in time about 15 years.

Hello all, enthusiastic (possibly overenthusiastic) noob here with questions.

I don't wait that long either, and I fill on a completely dry wick. I look for air bubbles coming up from the wicks indicating juice is flowing out and air is coming back in to replace it. I then take a very light dry pull and if I can taste the juice I know the wick is saturated enough. I...

Hello all, enthusiastic (possibly overenthusiastic) noob here with questions.

The bottom coil devices are a really a cool vape. The other device you bought sounds like cigalike style with a cartomiser. The cartomiser is a metal tube with a wick and coil, and some polyfill around it to hold about 1ml of e-liquid. There are also XL carts that hold up to 2ml. ETA: I was...

    Silly question about posting.

You need to log out and log back in again after the server has updated, which I thought happened every 15 or 20 minutes. ETA: given the time frame the server has probably already updated. You just need to log out and back in to pick up the new user privileges.

Why is my provari telling me I have low battery @ 3.7v?

This is the internet, anyone can post here. 100 replies on a simple question is unusual though. You have to look at the question that was asked - questions about fuzzy subjects get more replies and opinions, and they are all different and correct. Sometimes the OP doesn't know the correct...

Why is my provari telling me I have low battery @ 3.7v?

You could have done that with a couple of egos. I don't know what to tell you since I don't know what the original question was, however I *never* tell someone they have to upgrade. Sometimes the "simple" answer is to go out and buy a Zmax or something else, when a slightly more complicated...

Why is my provari telling me I have low battery @ 3.7v?

Are you talking about my discussion about terminology, or my reply to The Ocelot? If the latter, I'm confused. If the former, I wasn't talking about vaping, just trying to explain the terminology and why it's correct. Damn, I guess I missed the target there eh? I think some of the...

Why is my provari telling me I have low battery @ 3.7v?

Nicest rebuttal I've had all year. :2cool: I agree in principle, keep it simple however I don't think that necessarily means talking about variable power instead of variable watts. Does it make it any more intuitive for the newcomer? There's no electrical unit "power", as soon as they need to...

Why is my provari telling me I have low battery @ 3.7v?

Hi Ocey, I think I can clear this one up for you, it's not as bad as it seems. I hope I'm understanding the confusion correctly, but there's two things that always cause problems: 1) The correct use of power, watts, energy, and power over a given time 2) The odd terminolgy that is used to...

Why is my provari telling me I have low battery @ 3.7v?

The Xtar is a battery charger, not a voltmeter. All it's telling you is the terminal voltage while the battery is under charge. Of course it's going to read higher than it did when it came out of the Prothingy. If you want to know the actual state of the battery use the Provari to measure it...

Constant problems with clearomizers, could it be old batteries?

There's a lot of variation in the quality, and how it is treated can have a big affect too. A lot of people think that it's still necessary to completely flatten a rechargeable battery before charging, but with Lithium batteries nothing could be further from the the truth: How to Prolong...

Vaping is not as addictive as smoking tobacco

Yep, vaping is the bomb when it comes to giving up cigarettes. Unfortunately for those making the switch, nicotine is not all of the alkaloids in tobacco. We call them WTAs or whole tobacco alkaloids of which nicotine makes up about 90%. The other 10% are other alkaloids (anabasine, anatabine...
