I believe that burning the wick on a CE2 was done earlier when CE2's were first released or shortly after that, as it was needed to help with something that I don't even know!
I also believe that the manufacturer of the CE2's changed something (maybe the wick material) and you no longer need...

This is how I setup the negative terminal for the Scubagen that I recieved from Dan's Co-Op.
I'm using a "Spring Pin" to secure the negative terminal to the Scubagen body.
I had to grind down one end of the Spring Pin at least 3/32" or 0.09375".
I pressed the side of the the spring pin...
I just followed Dan's instructions...
Make sure the wire is a little bit long....
Make sure you cut the tube short enough...
What are you having trouble with, for this step?
As far as the main body o-rings go...
I worked the o-rings into the groves as even as possible at first.
I then lubed them up good with some VG.
I then worked the tubing on while pressing the o-rings into the groves evenly.
