I would have to say you modified everything you listed with the exception of the battery. :p

Okay, I finally have my Genisis atty working on my ScubaGenV3 like it should! I mastered the art of proper coil wrapping... Wrapping the coil properly has a lot to do with getting this genisis atty working right. Once you get a good coil wrap, it's as easy as what Dan showed in...

It's interesting that the topic of building it the proven way was mentioned again, as this post shows how problems can develope from deviating from the proven way. I see a potential problem with using the 1/8" long sleeve bushings that I posted about earlier... These bushings will leave an...

I knew what you meant, just wanted to get it clarified... I can set my meter to beep when I have continuity. I'm shooting for no beep between the mesh and body, then I will check for infinite ohms.

I thought so too. However, since I ended up having the coil glow after filling, I went ahead and put faith in my oxidzing and adjusted the coil so it is up against the wick... The coil is not glowing between the wick and post... I believe I do not have any shorts. I went with 3 wraps...

Wouldn't a reading of zero ohms mean that the mesh is making contact with the body? When I touch my meter leads together I get zero Ohms.

For my second build I couldn't get a tight fit using a tube from a pen in the body of the sgv3 for the positive post, or a tight fit on the inside of the pen tube for the CE2 post. I had some of this nylon tubing and used it for the positive post, (SK8201-1/8) it works great and provides a...

I think Dan's next video showing how to connect the coil and eliminate the coil from shorting on the wick holds the key to finishing this. Hint! Hint! :D

Yes, it is a tolerance issue. I switched to a #15 o-ring in lieu of the #16 o-ring for the main body. It works great, I have no leaks and if fits nicely.

This is the same thing that happend to me, so you scared me first. Everytime I get a coil to glow and not short, the wick stops wicking. However I will try priming the wick and turning it upside down to try and get it to wick again. Twice I have made a coil that would not short and...

Thank you Teach! Also... If you notice in the picture I'm using one m1.6 nut and two m1.6 washers, it catches the Kanthal wire better than just using two unbeveled m1.6 nuts. I never beveled the two m1.6 nuts, so maybe I'll try that next to compare. Edit to add; I also used an...

If you are using the Nylon Sleeve Flange Bushings... I used a piece of SS Mesh that is 4" x 1-3/8", rolling the wick over the wire like Dan shows. A 3/4" wide piece would be too small. :2c: My next roll I may go down to a 1-1/4". YMMV

I never thought that one day I would use one of my smallest drill bits to drill out the end of a bic pen to make the inside diameter larger. It works, however you need to go slow, as not to melt the plastic. I drilled them out while holding the pen in my hand, not while inserted in the...

    Fender0942 & bstedh's Scubagenv3 CO-OP discussion

I sent enough Roll Pins (Spring Pins) to have two included (one extra) with each scubagen ordered for this Co-Op to bstedh so they can be included with your order. You will need to grind down one end of the roll pin. I used the end of a bic pen and cut it to size and used this a a guide on...

Starting to get the smoother more vapor hits now. 32 Kanthal, 3 wraps. 1.8 Ohms on my Ego. Cleanest, smoothes hit I ever had off of an e-cig. Not harsh at all, clean taste, good vapor.
