Small (or maybe not!) correction.
Fresh off the charger, at 4.2v, you'll get about 11.75 watts. At 3.7v you'll get about 9 watts.
Might be a bit too hot with fresh batt. Waiting to get mine so I can check 'em out. I may just use a standard 510 atty when the batts are fresh and then switch to...
Sounds like one of the *other* brand attys. Joye 510s and the DSE 901s don't have the big metal washer, the *other* ones do, unless the DSE 901s have been changed.
I think bugg has it right. If you wanna use the Protege with 2 14250's go with an HV atty. The 5.2 ohm will probably suit most people best.
The other route is to get a low resistance 1.5 ohm atty and stick with the 14500s. You still get 9-10 watts without having to stack batts!
Me too
Drew mentioned a change and 1.618 ohms I think, but the web site says 1.5 ohms. So I don't know if these are different from what he's already shipped or not
They're back. Thanks Rob, that was quick!
New smooth BB 4 me :D

Now where did I put those binoculars so I can keep a look-out for the famed AltSmoke Chopper? :p
