    SilverBullet: In Hand ;P

    Good question!

Who is using 14500 Protected in Protege?

Different discharge rate. A slower discharge rate = poorer vape. But it allows a batt manufacturer to claim a higher mah rating.

Would you prefer higher mg HV juice?

HV works great in any PV, but IMO a little better in the 510 since the atty gets hotter than the 801 or 901.

    Problems with the BB

Gotta say the Krinkle finish is VERY nice. Looks good, feels good, and doesn't seem like it's going to show much wear and tear. I like it :D

PureSmoker V1 Owners -- The Day Of Reckoning ...

A lot of people have had the current switch fail - especially on the Protege for some reason. The new switch should be practically unbreakable. Since the V1 is no longer in production and the V2 switches won't fit it, a lot of people are stocking up on replacements just in case. Another...

    CR2 LiFePO4 batteries with charger

Big difference between disposables and rechargables. That said, I've got some unprotected cr2s on the way from DX. We shall see...

    Protege 901 adapter & Cartomizers ... err ... I mean Atomz

Exactly which cutter do you use? My mom uses the cartos, but to me they just don't put out thick vapor like the 510. I find myself puffin and puffin and puffin and...

Which begs the question: Rob what atty did you send him that's "way better than my over-rated 510??? Fit a kr808 batt - was it a 901?

I tried to set my car on fire today....

Yes, I'd at least send in one unit with the 801 adapter. It may have a short and cause problems regardless of the switch.

Protege USB Extension with mechanical switch & wall adaptor

If something shorts out it's *possible* you could damage your computer. A wall plug should be fine. Get one that pushes 1.5amps or more and you'll get a better vape than you're likely to get from your computer as well :D

I tried to set my car on fire today....

I'm fairly certain it won't for two reasons. One, Steve told me that no need to worry about arcing scars, etc. because we're only talking about 5v and he's testing them with 120v! 8-o Second, he's talking about a lifetime warranty on the Prodigy V2. If he's that confident, then so am I.

I tried to set my car on fire today....

As I mentioned in post #13 this happened to me a couple of times when I first got the Protege and reinserting the switch properly solved the problem right away. Both of the switches I've had die were fused shut as verified by multimeter. I have no idea why the Protege seems to be prone to this...

I tried to set my car on fire today....

Don't give up on the Protege, they're the best 3.7v device out there! A wild guess would say at least one of your problems is occurring from the switch housing touching the outer brass switch contact or an adapter short. And yes, a bad atty can make bad things happen. Send 'em in to PS and...

    Problems with the BB

Get all of it out. Powder coat stuck to the sides can get scraped by the spring when you reinsert it and wind up under the spring. I cut a piece of green scrub pad, rolled it VERY tightly, and twisted it inside. Steel wool would probably work better but I didn't have any. Even after that the...
