Who is using 14500 Protected in Protege?

I'm like Ritchie, I usually find I'm changing batts at around 3.7v because I like the extra umph you get from the higher voltage. Tenergys are well respected batts. I've been using the unprotected ones from PS (still protected from over and under discharge) for 2 months now and they work very...

    BB & Black SB's.

I dunno...that button doesn't look like the pics I've seen. Hmm...could it be the *special* BB that is safer to use at 6v? He calls it his "black bullet" but I'm guess it's the BSB not the BB. Anybody ever decide what BB stands for? I should know this before my FREE one gets here! :D:D:D

    Shined XHaler

I thought this solution to be very creative and simple: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nhaler/51534-quick-fix-locking-ring.html Good job Wormwood!

    Show and Tell

Good post. I clean my Protege at the adapter and the atty threads several times a day and take it apart for a thorough cleaning every 2 or 3 days. What's the point in having a nice mod if it performs like a stock PV?

The Prodigy ( A Poll is Underway )

Really? What problems do you have with it? How did you order a mechanical switch for it? The mechanical switches are only on sale for the Protege.

Very quick service. And those little adapters are great - do what they're supposed to without making your PV look like it was built out of spare parts by a plumber. No offense meant to any plumbers out there ;)

If you've stretched the spring a bit and are sure you're getting solid contact then you probably need to test it with a multimeter.

    Why two switches?

Yes, but personally I'd suggest getting a wall plug usb adapter that pushes 1.5amps - they are cheap - and sticking with the mechanical switch. Unless Steve says not too! ;)

    Why two switches?

I meant taking one out and putting it back in is part of regular maintenance. You have to order separately. Steve said the next batch would have the mechanical switches, perhaps with an option for the tact switch. No soldering necessary since you're replacing the whole switch assembly...

    CASAA Slogans

Lots of these are great. Territoo has some I especially like. Very creative. But I find myself in agreement with Thulium on certain key points. Most of these just look like they want to tell me why I shouldn't smoke or maybe sell me a book or an NRT. I agree with Sun - a concept is a...

    Why two switches?

Piece of cake. Pull the old one out and put the new one in. Screw the adapter back on. You'll want to clean the brass switch contacts occasionally anyway, so removing and reinserting is a necessary skill. ;)

So I finally tried NHaler High Voltage liquid

    20mls of 12mg plus 10mls of 60mg = 30mls of 28mg. So basically it's 2 parts 12mg HV to 1 part 60mg unflavored. 25mls of 24mg plus 5mls of 60mg = 30mls of 30mg. Yes, if you use the 48mg unflavored you'll need more of it and lose more flavor.

Would you prefer higher mg HV juice?

4mls of 12mg plus 26mls of 38mg = 30mls of 35mg. If you want to make 12mg HV liquid that strong you might want to try Drew's unflavored 60mg to avoid losing so much flavor. Also, for everyone wanting higher nic, if you haven't tried a high voltage PV like the XHALER, you should. Makes a world...

PRODIGY: Stick With The Old OR Go With The New ???

I would prefer a dedicated 5v device. I too have a Protege and love it. Why would I want to have to change switches and batteries to change voltage when I can just pick up the other PV?

problem with my SB or batteries?

Cartomizers have a higher resistance - 3.5 ohms like the 901 and 801 attys. 510 joye attys are only 2.5 ohm. That's why they pack such a punch into the small size. The knock-off (SLB?) 510 attys I've gotten are 3.5 ohm also. So the cartomizers don't draw as much current and trip the protection...

The BB - Updates and Information.

You can use it while you charge a spare up. Realize that 14500s charge up to 4.2v and will vape REALLY well for quite some time. I usually change mine once they're down to 3.7v. So you might not get the best out of your BB until you try it with a fully charged batt.
