No, this run is all tact switches. The next run will have the mechanical switches though you can pre-order one for $19.99. Use the mechanical switch and use the original as a back-up? The Protege passthrough adapters are up for pre-sale too - convert it to 5v.

Weird. I get liquid in my mouth from a 901 tip, but NEVER have gotten any from a 510 in like 6 months of use. The gurgling sound alerts me and I just blow it out and wipe the sides with a napkin.

Steve uses the unprotected Tenergys like I do because they work great. The charger protects against overcharge and the batts cut off at 2.75v. Not that you'll ever get to that low a voltage - the vapor would be nil. I've never taken one off below 3.4v.

Why are you not recommending the mechanical switches for the passthrough option? Seems like a "stuck on" or shorted electrical switch would cause the same problems, which is on of the reasons I'll be using a wall plug USB port anyways.
