The Echo Thread - Part 2

The new protected one is airier than the old one? Hmmm....Variables always exist. The draw will stiffen up with time. You can try packing down the filler in the cartomizer a little either with a straw around the air tube or by tapping it sharply on your palm like a pack of ciggies. Originally...

    The eGo/Echo Kuwako Thread

You know, I do understand that. With my kuwako on, people tell me how good it smells and I tell them it's a pipe type blend. One night I had put the kuwako part in my pocket and someone looked at my echo and told me it looked and smelled like a cigar. Funny thing is, if I let a smoker vape it...

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

2 ml (slightly less) How long has he had his? The ring that holds the tip fits 801 style tips. I was able to get it out of the shell and use it for emdccs (that was when all they had was the giant round rubber spongy tip that I didn't like) and other things with a similar shell. It doesn't...

The Echo Thread - Part 2

IDK if the logical conclusion is that it must be regulated if you can't read it but all they are capable is reading straight voltage under the load of the resistor. Basically they just sit in the middle of the circuit and measure what the battery is putting out. With nothing resisting...it puts...

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

I haven't tried one....and I've tried a few....of those "giantomizer" types that didn't have condensation issues. My favorite was the Riva tank at Cropduster but it was built so you could not take anything apart unlike the rest of the F1 types. Too bad too. It had potential but after a couple of...

The Echo Thread - Part 2

If it was regulated, say at 3.6v....you would get a reading of 3.6v. Because the battery is regulated to only put out a voltage of 3.6v. Until it can't. Then it dies fast. And again....when you are using it.....it would be the same vape from start to finish. Not hot at first with a quick decline...

I'll clean that up and get working on some pics.......someday? lol right now, I'm a happy monkey, chillin in my favorite chair with my kuwako <-

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

gotta go back in the thread for all the SteelJan reviews of the ce2/tank mods out there. The best way is to make your own. Buy any premade ones and they all have problems. Easier to deal with if it's your own. And you can't beat the ce2/ce4+ mod for pretty and functional. I'm sorry. I keep...

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

You can also use carto condoms with the end snipped off for a lower profile to separate your lips from the hot plastic. You can look here to see if they have any you like. Even if you don't buy from them, they have a good selection. They can only be so short though....

The Echo Thread - Part 2

But if they are regulated they stay at the same voltage until they die. A regulated kr8 is 3.6v all the way then it's dead even if it comes off the charger at 4.2v. The Joye egos were regulated at 3.2 to 3.4v before they came out with unregulated Joyes which put out a 3.7v batteries...

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

Cyrus has horsey lips! LOL. I've been vaping on a ce2 all day with no tip and it was uncomfortable at times. All of mine came with hardware. I'm thinking now.....I don't think I've ever bought a drip tip except for the hard tips to replace the rubber tips of my echos. Drip tips are everywhere...

It seems like the same drop you measured when it was fresh. .4v under load (at 2.5 ohms). This means the running voltage could be 3.8 to 3.3v. Your so close to the drop off...... I should have asked you to back up my wager with something when I bet you it was unregulated.

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

Yeah.......seems like I won't be on the bandwagon when they arrive. A ce3 will always be a ce3. You can take it apart and rebuild it but it is what it is. I miss the good 'ol days when anything in an 808 thread was simple and worked like a charm. I just don't have the energy any more to believe...

    "clearomizer" round up for 808s...

so your summation of the thread you started for a great 808 clearomizer roundup is to go get a 510. Nicely done, my friend! My two cents on the 808 stardust/ce4+ types are these....Vision 808 Echo Transparent Clearomizer, 2.5 Ohm They are right there with the SI but lower ohms and hold more juice.

    The eGo/Echo Kuwako Thread

Set into two holes. but they are there just to hold the logo in place, not to vent. Like......when you are building a model and there's a decoration that fits onto the body somewhere.....if that makes sense. Also....somehow the flat black paint has started to peel away revealing shiny black...

don't worry about ruining the coil. It's pretty far down there. Put a thin piece of metal in the metal hole and wiggle it around and up until it's to a place you can tweeze it out. The other thing you can do is remove the o ring that sits at the base of the threads in the top metal ring. Then...

The Echo Thread - Part 2

It's hard to degunk a vg crusted coil and wick. I'd suggest soaking it for a day or so in PGA then rinsing it. Look through the more involved cleaning methods below. It's a reply to a previous similar question. Other than that, just avoid the center hole when putting juice in the clearomizer...

The Echo Thread - Part 2

I'm still using it. I've done a couple of experiments with the ce4s but haven't dedicated my life to it yet. Threaded some cotton through a prewound coil on a ce2 as well. That's the real beauty. It's so soft, you can do things you can't with brittle glass wicks. The whole point of the thread is...

hand held benzomatic butane torch. It too has trouble getting the wicks back to white again. Takes much longer than the old wicks.
