I'll try it. I tried the volt battery. It's the closest so far to being as good as the echos. If it wasn't so huge and pricey, I may even like it more but the post is ridiculously spongy. Every time change hardware, I have to pry the post. Every time. It's very annoying.

from what I remember when searching for my own wick material, silica turns white again at a much higher temperature than fiberglass. So the fact that it stayed black may mean it's silica.

All the stealths, whether they are hangsen or Smokeless image or any other "imposter". (LOL! should I toss out the word clone like some folks do for any high mah battery that's not an ego?) have the same issue with the pinhole. I carry mine in a pouch now so I don't get pocket dust in there...

It's a high mah 808. It's second generation automatic and in a class all it's own. Works with all 808 hardware like SI's volt. I've tried the 510 ego type autos and none of them work very well. Northwest Vapors, Mountain Vapor, Smoktek, and Cropduster 901 are all good sources to look. All...

Make sure the pinhole led is perfectly clear and unobstructed. If anything gets in there like moisture, it's a hard draw until it dries. I give it a gentle wipe with an alcohol swab and it seems to pull moisture out as it dries. Do the same around all the threads. Where did you get it?

The echo is a great option. Very small and compact for a higher mah battery. They come in 650, 1100, and 1300mah. Two 650 batteries should easily get you through a whole day.

Coil was blocking the airflow. I pulled it up a little with the bent clip I use for wick fluffing. Airflow is improved, no more bubbling and spitting. Just the familiar snap and pop. Still a muted flavor, but much better.

I spent a lot of time in the 808 thread and new members forum offering the echo as an option. I quieted down after awhile. More because I'm just busier now and only pop on to visit certain threads. Welcome to the club, Beindeb!

Noisy like the snap, crackle, pop but also a little groany like the sound of forced air. This is obviously the reason for the popping liquid but it doesn't matter what seal I put on or how loose it is. Fluffed, unfluffed......same amount of vg in my liquid as always. Only way it doesn't cry...

I was looking for one that wasn't so heavy on the removal part because they are different animals. The ring and base are one piece on the echo version vs separate ring on the base of the plastic and guts shoved inside the shell on the vgo and 510 version. The echo ce4s are so much easier in that...

They appear to have the round tips. Hopefully he'll have them soon. Looks like SmokTek was the first to get them in. These whistle tips do rock. I wish I could order just the tips for all my other ce4s as well. Wide holes for the vapor and very chomp-firendly.

I have been getting a but of nasty metal taste and harsh spitting on my third one of these ultimates. It's rather noisy too. So it's definitely the way they are. 2/3 have been great so far.

Anything thin and sturdy enough to get into the metal nipple and wiggle it around and up. A long pin with a slightly bent tip to go around the outside of the rubber piece and pry it up. Take your pick. It's a pretty hearty piece. It will stretch and bend but I haven't ripped one yet.
