    I think it was because the 801's drew too easy with 4 holes, but 2 wouldn't be enough, and 3 was the comfy medium.

    I think that sounds about right without the resistor. Underload it should land you right around 6v.

    The resistor lowers the voltage of the 2 3v batteries (totaling 6) to 5v of output to the atty. Without the resistor you get the full 6v from the battery.

    Weird, though i am no expert, but as long as you have a connection running through that switch, it should work.     Yeah, it seems to be an issue for a lot of people. I would suggest a higher output power pack. I have one i am trying out, and will let everyone know after a couple of weeks how it works.

    The ones from Steve. What juice are you using? I am not trying to bash anyone's rep here, but the dang JC juice...IMO.... murders atty's. I have had "0" issues with the PS juice. I do notice the symptom you describe, but only when using JC, not with PS juice. Gibby

    From what i have read, 1a won't do, you are going to need a little over 1.5 or it won't work very well, or at all. i went with a 5v 2a i will give it a couple of weeks before i give it the thumbs up. Edited for this, its the APC 10WH Model UPB 10 outputs 5v 2a. Says its 10Watts max, 8 watts...
