    Risk vs reward

Yes, we're well aware of the potential risks involved. At least most of us are - and those that are constantly attempt to inform those that aren't. There have been one or two injuries as a result of catastrophic battery failure, but to the best of my knowledge, they were all due to homemade...

5V RIT (Regulator In a Tube)

It is and it isn't. A resistor is dumb. It always resists voltage by the same amount, so as your batteries drop from 4.2 when full to 3.3 when empty, the voltage after the resistor will also change. A regulator will put out 5V for as long as the input voltage is at least 5V + the dropout...

VaporCast- a podcast for the digital smoker

Just got done with last week's episode. They threw me a shoutout for my US liquid cost/ml chart, which I thought was nice. Maybe this week they'll mention my good-ecig.info site for sending people to when they ask "What's that thing you're smoking?". Hint hint. Anybody interested enough in...

5V RIT (Regulator In a Tube)

This is an idea that I started in the suggestions subforum, but I've managed to get it working to the point that the idea might be useful to somebody else. Basically, this is the opposite of Tinear's BOB. Instead of an addon that boosts 3.7V up to 5V, this regulates 7.4V down to 5V. It is a...

    Need a battery spacer for RCR123A 3.0V

Sorry, I should have been more specific. You can use them as-is if you drop them down the tube so they're on the negative side of the battery, between the batt and the spring. If you use them on the positive side, you'll need to tape the sides so they don't short out against the sides of the tube.

    Cartomizers

They're easy to refill. Just pop the cap off and drip liquid into the filler. When it stops absorbing, just give it a couple good shakes (like you'd shake a thermometer) to force the liquid farther down and drip some more. Just make sure you have the silicone cap on the other end (the one...

    Athiest Experience

These guys also do a bi-monthly podcast called The Non-Prophets, as well as run the Atheist Community of Austin. I occasionally listen to the podcast, usually when they have an interesting guest on the show.

    Eastmall-stick-v3

No, they don't need to be more "sticky outy". If anything, the flush button is a great selling point - one less thing to get caught when you stick it in your pocket, and less chance of it firing accidentally when it's in there. The profile is fine, it's the action that needs improvement...

    Batteries

Check the inventory updates page. It says the latest shipment of 10440s is on its way. Personally, I think it's awesome that Hoogie takes the time to let us know where the new inventory is at.

We're up to 117 pages in the PIF thread. Perhaps the thread should occasionally be locked and a fresh one started, with the current offer copied over to the starting post. Maybe reset the thread every 500 posts or so?

    mailing packages from home?

Pretty much everything I've sent has been in 6x9" bubble mailers, and they've all been between one and two dollars for 1st class. The bubble mailer I sent today was $1.39 for 1.6oz, and it was almost 2" thick. This is what I get charged at the PO itself. If any of these online print-and-ship...
