    Inside the Drunker Tank

I'm happy I bought mine, but then again I use a nr rw welder so there's no burnt grommet. Even before i used nr legs the grommet didn't burn because the legs are a half inch long each. I mainly use nr wire legs to lower the ohms of my favorite r-wire. It's a great devcie for the price and there...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

The information i posted was about water and liquid absorbency of cotton both relevant in wicking properties. The only person that can convince you is you. The only way to find what you like is to try different wick materials and see what you prefer.

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Why Is Cotton Absorbent? The most effective bath towels are made of 100 percent cotton because cotton is most efficient at absorbing or soaking up water. Cotton is able to absorb up to 27 times its weight in liquid water. Cotton's absorbency is also useful in what is known as "recreational...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

If you want something stronger try weaved cottons, like yarn, string, twine. I would recommend cheese cloth as it is very strong and made for food. The tighter the weave the longer you should soak a new wick. I use rounds because they are the strongest of the cotton wools and are easy to cut and...

    The 3 Flavor Method

When i mix a new juice flavor I use something I call the 3 flavor method which I think is easiest for someone new to DIY juice mixing. The 3 Flavor Method 1. The main flavor: This is the flavor that will over power all the rest and be most prominent. 2. The complimentary flavor: This is a...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

It doesn't take 48 hours to get juice to the coil, but it does take 48 hours for the cotton fibers to fully expand and absorb to perform with it's maximum capillary action. You can vape after a couple hours of soak, my point was longer is better if we have the patience. You are right about it...

    Inside the Drunker Tank

Yes you should boil any cotton you use for wick, after you determine it's 100% cotton. I use a fork to scoop out the rounds out of the water and squeeze them flat between my hands and they stay strong. More info here if You're interested...

    Inside the Drunker Tank

What type of cotton did you try? Also how long did you let juice soak into the cotton before vaping it?

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Adeline actually has better soaking practices letting new rebuilds soak over night. When I say to let cotton soak a at least a few hours that's really a minimum so you don't burn the cotton. It still takes up to 48 hours for cotton to expand completely and perform with maximum capillary action...

    Inside the Drunker Tank

Might be a more delicate brand, I actually found the rounds to be the strongest of the cotton wools. It does take a minute to cut a thin strip and roll it between my fingers into the shape I want. What i have noticed with the drunker is the wick needs a longer soak time having the juice farther...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

It doesn't matter how close the air intake hole is, what matters is how it is directed to the coil. Like with the drunker and vivi novas the air holes are on the botton but then the grommets bottle neck right under the coil so a tiny jet of air is blasting right in the middle of the coil. With...

    Resistance-No Resistance wire welder

I was womdering why my red led light wasn't coming on, thought maybe a bad solder. What i didn't know was the light comes on when the capacitor is fully charged which is 8 seconds of holding the charge switch.

    Different Cottons for different wicks

Those are them, not the same brand as mine but cotton rounds none the less. Just boil a dozen of them (enough to last months) and use a fork to pick them up out of the water one by one and squeeze flat between your hands to get as much water out and spread them out over a plate and they'll be...

    Different Cottons for different wicks

The spiral cut cotton round I posted was more of a how to for making long wicks. In reality I have found best results with a 2mm wide coil diameter (about the same width as the slots on my vivi novas and drunker tank). When I first started trying cotton I actually had to modify the slots for...

I would like to thank the Greek fella for being the first to invent one of these welders. I would also like to thank mre777 for suggesting the flash circuit on a camera and everyone else who has helped our gain for knowledge. The fact that I built a nice rw nr welder for 3 dollars that works so...

    Inside the Drunker Tank

I wrap my coils side by side touching, closer the coil wraps the less likely to burn cotton and it doesn't short. When i first suggested wrapping coils like that it was kind of taken as heresy until others started experimenting with it. My theory is the path of least resistance is still the...
